International Court of Justice takes Israel’s side against South Africa

With so many international organizations being antisemitic these days, it’s a little surprising when one actually takes the side of Israel.

But that’s essentially what happened today when the International Court of Justice refused to order Israel to halt its war in Gaza to exterminate Hamas because South Africa could not make its case. Not that it matters because the ICJ doesn’t have jurisdiction over the state of Israel.

But it’s nonetheless a victory for Israel.

I see a problem here...Israel itself didnt sign on to the ICC,so they are not under its power.

I'm with you on that ,its gone to far they've out numbered the damage what Hamas has done to them.

Don't use it as an excuse to annihilate a whole population of innocent civilians because people have seen this before , don't reflect your painful history

If Israel stops, Hamas will have won.

And there is the problem Israel faces if they stopped this all starts again later. The only way thus could end as I see it is if Hamas surrenders turns over their weapons. Even then no guarantees they simply won't buy more weapons and start again. The only other way is if the people of Gaza demand Hamas leaves and votes in a new government which that isn't likely either because most of them support it.

I respect both views I really do but I hate to see so many people suffering from both sides , it's such a difficult and complicated war for so long

I don't have the answers hopefully they find a way to stop this from both sides quickly

The same feeling I've for Ukraine and Russia I respect both peoples and hate see them fight and our politicians in the west interference with a domestic Russia Ukrainian heritage of problems and expansion closer to Russia

Diplomacy and peaceful solutions is the only weapon that can and should be used to a certain point I mean

If Israel stops, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, won't stop killing Jews, bombing Israel.

They won't stop until they are beaten so badly that they dare not attack, kill, rape, bomb Jews again.

Israel already fought and won 4 wars over the land that they had been on 1000s of years before Muslims came along. Then you need to answer how is Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon all countries and Israel is not, Hint...they were all formed the same way...

Jordan was called the Muslim Palestine, and Israel was called the Jewish Palestine before they were counties. If you look at old world maps Palestine was an uncharted area deep into Egypt, so why isn't Egypt giving back the homeland for the Palestinians then? Then you have the Greeks calling the area we call today Syria Palestine about 500 BC. So the term was created by conquers for uncharted lands so there was no such thing as a Palestine nation or Palestinians as they are Egyptians and Jordanians, by blood, religion, culture, and DNA.

They are just refugees that neither Egypt nor Jordan wanted anything to do with them back when they controlled both areas before the Jews did, and were happy to dump that mess on the Jews.

The nazis really did switch sides . Before you start rooting on the genocide of the Palestinians then you should back on what the nazis did to the Jews . I was replying to the person who said the Jews need to give up the land to the rightful owners and then to ask the Palestinians to live there too. Their statement was so absurd I felt they needed a history lesson. We also need to remember that Israel agreed to a two-party state and the Muslims didn't, so Israel said OK and were attacked several times where they won.

I'm just waiting for you all to protest that we need to give back chunks of CA, AZ, NM, and TX to Mexico. If you all are protesting why not that too?
