All are welcoming to asylum seekers these days, imagine how they would welcome back long lost citizens!

Jewish is not only a religion but of blood too, so all Jews came from that area. As to asylum seekers, I think the huge and oil-rich countries of Jordan and Egypt could help there with the refugees. I'm not sure why it is all on Israel when those other two countries contributed to the mess a good deal and then just dumped it on Israel. Plus what area do you want to call Palestine if not Jordan?

Where they came from? They had to arrive in the latest iteration of Israel from somewhere, they can return to there.

The Jews who went to Israel when it formed were nearly all kicked out or pushed out of other countries including a large number from MUSLIM countries. They fled to Israel to be safe and to have their ancestral homeland back. It is supposed to be a safe place for Jews from persecution and death and the horrors that were happening to them in Muslim and other countries. So no .. they can't 'go back'.

"send them back" is the same kind of thinking when anyone states that all blacks should go back to Africa.

Just a general question to toss out there, but can anyone name me a single nation that was created without bloodshed?

Thanks,

Why doesn’t Israel give back everything they’ve taken from the Palestinians and who ever created Israel in the middle of last century pay restitution to the Palestinian people?

Then Hamas can give back the hostages and GTFO of Palestine as well.

That way the Palestinian people can have Palestine back and the Israeli’s can go back to where they came from or apply for asylum in Palestine and Hamas can go to hell 👍

Problem solved.

Know your history dude.

Israel "belonged" to, was populated by the Jewish nation and had a Jewish king as far back as 1000BC. They maintained a sort of rule over Jerusalem (Israel) until 70AD (1070 years - LONG before there even were Palestinians). The Palestinians started invading Israel and taking their land three hundred years later BC - after it had been Jewish territory and was occupied by the Jewish people for over 300 years - and was never Palestinian land. The Romans conquered Israel in 63 BCE and it changed hands rapidly for 1500 years and the Jews were basically kicked out in the process; kind of like the American Indians when the white westerners (Romans) took over. Then after WWI Israel was "given" to the Palestinians for their support in the defeat in the Ottoman Empire.

So actually when Israel was made a nation, it was returned to the very first people who had a nation on that land.

So you want to kick the native people (Jews) off for the invaders (Palestinians) who are once again killing Israelis to get back land that belonged to the Israelis in the first place.

If you want to make a modern day comparison, the Palestinians are the USA and the Jewish people are the Native Americans, in terms of whose land was it first.

Hyperbole? Can we have a conversation without it?

I do not care one way or the other. How about you? Where are your posts on the 400,000 killed in Yemen, where are your posts on what is going on in Afghanistan with the Taliban, how about the 50,000 recently killed in Sudan, 100,000 killed in Ethiopia... so on and so forth?

Why the selective outrage? What I want is Hamas to disappear off the face of the earth and maybe then the people in Gaza can heal. It is not the Jews causing their suffering, Gaza could be a nice place today if they channeled their hate into internal improvements and Hamas used their billions for the people there.

I'm all for giving the land back to the first people... Here is what the Jews had back in the day. I'm sure Egypt and the countries the Brits and French created will not be happy.

There ya go again with the hyperbole on Max... The Jews gave the land to them almost 20 years ago, and moved everyone out of it, why would they want that crap place back. It was nice when they gave it to them. You don't understand still... No one wants the land or the people, that is why Egypt and Jordan dumped it all on the Jews back when they owned it.

You didn't answer my question, but I answered yours.

What is up with the selective outrage?

A couple of quick questions.

Are your saying the Israelis should be correctly deemed Arabs?

Who gave it to the Palestinians after WW1?

After the Jews ruled over Israel for over one thousand years:
mosaicmagazine.com...
The ancient Romans pinned the name on the Land of Israel. In 135 CE, after stamping out the province of Judea’s second insurrection, the Romans renamed the province Syria Palaestina—that is, “Palestinian Syria.” They did so resentfully, as a punishment, to obliterate the link between the Jews (in Hebrew, Y’hudim and in Latin Judaei) and the province (the Hebrew name of which was Y’hudah). “Palaestina” referred to the Philistines, whose home base had been on the Mediterranean coast.
The term “Palestine” was used for millennia without a precise geographic definition. That’s not uncommon—think of “Transcaucasus” or “Midwest.” No precise definition existed for Palestine because none was required. Since the Roman era, the name lacked political significance. No nation ever had that name.
Since biblical times, Palestine was understood to span the Jordan River. It was common to call the one bank Western Palestine and the other Eastern Palestine, as evidenced by such works as Edward Robinson, et al., Biblical Researches in Palestine and the Adjacent Regions (1856); Charles Warren, Underground Jerusalem (1876); Frederick Jones Bliss, The Development of Palestine Exploration (1906); and Ellsworth Huntington, Palestine and Its Transformation (1911). The Israelite tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Menasseh, the Bible said, all held land east of the Jordan River. Before World War I, no books described that river as Palestine’s eastern boundary.
“Palestine” applied vaguely to a region that for the 400 years before World War I was part of the Ottoman empire. In that empire, it was divided among several provinces and governates and never composed an administrative unit. On the other hand the Jews had for over a thousand years governmental and national control of the land.

to continue the same article:
How did British Mandate Palestine get its borders? The line in the north emerged from Anglo-French negotiations in 1923. The one in the south was fixed by treaties in the mid-1920s between Britain and the new nation of Saudi Arabia. The border between Mandate Palestine and Mandate Mesopotamia was of little immediate importance, given that it was in the middle of an uninhabited desert and Britain controlled both sides. That line was finally fixed through an exchange of letters in 1932.

What particularly interests us here is how Britain handled Eastern Palestine. The short answer is that it remained under the British Mandate for Palestine until 1946, when it became the independent kingdom of Transjordan, later renamed Jordan. Western Palestine remained under the Mandate until May 1948.

To answer your question about race: The Jews that ruled Israel 1000 years before the year 1 CE were native to that land. They were "arabs" as you called them, middle Eastern. Jesus looks like the Arabs of today, swarthy skin, black hair, black beard. Jesus was NOT white, or black, or asian, he was the same "race" as the Islamic people of today. When the Jews disbursed after 70AD they intermarried around the world and became whiter/white in Russia and northern Europe, became black in Ethopia and Africa, etc.

Here are two versions of what Jesus and the Jews of his time most likely looked like: The first photo is a scientific reconstruction based on what Jews looked like in the time of Jesus, the 2nd is a close proximity of the various sketches of what Jesus looked like from many other artists.
Google, what did Jesus look like. That is what the Jews were and looked like who originally formed the nation on that land.

According to their respective predominant religions (Palestinians are Islamic) (Israelis are Jews). The history of both goes back to a common ancestor, Abraham. Abraham had 2 sons, one by his maid and one by his wife. He (shamefully) sent the son and his mother by the maid away after a son was born to his wife. The son of the maid is the linage that became predominately Islamic or what you call Arab. The other son is the linage that became predominately Israeli, or what you call Jewish. They are brothers, relatives, and have hated each other for around three thousands years or more.
They ARE THE SAME RACE.

No. Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. The same Muslim Brotherhood that tried to take over Egypt, and that tried to overthrow the government and royal family of Jordan. That's why Egypt and Jordan want nothing to do with the so called 'palestinians'. They are nothing but trouble.

They want to wipe out hamas so they can have the land to themselves.

1 - Israel wants to wipe out Hamas because Hamas wants to wipe out Israel. It's in the Hamas Charter. Have you ever bothered to read it?

2 - Israel had the Gaza land to themselves and gave it up 20 years ago in 2005. And Israel has done nothing in all that time to take it back. Obviously you are wrong.

Way to be a cheerleader for genocide !!!

You don't know what genocide is. There are 2 1/2 million Gazans and only a few thousand dead, and those who are dead are mostly terrorists and Hamas sympathizers. That's not genocide. If you want to see what genocide is, then look at what Hamas says and does ... they vow to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews. THAT is genocide.

Which is why the 'palestinians' aren't really 'palestinians'. Arafat made up the term. The people of Gaza are actually mostly Jordanian and Egyptian. There are no real 'palestinians'.

It's not genocide. Israel is not trying to wipe out civilians or the entire people. They are only after Hamas. In fact, they have warned civilians where fighting will be and advised them to leave for their own safety. Those attempting genocide don't use this strategy. It's as simple as that.

True Yasser Arafat created the palistinian state in 1988 in a speech. Before that it didn't exist he got the idea from the Bible and the philistines.Who invented the name Palestine?
Palestine | History, People, Conflict, & Religion | Britannica
"The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century bce occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv–Yafo ."

Sadly he didn't realize this was a group that existed throughout the Mediterranean. It is believed they originated in Crete. And were seen as a sea people by most rulers. They are the original pirates of the Mediterranean. They would raid coastal villages .

Yasser Arafat didn't know who the philistines were only that they were the enemy of the jews well and Egypt also.

Truth be told if Israel wanted to kill everyone on gaza they only need a couple of days they have the firepower to do it. Saying they are trying to commit genocide is just silly. Now having said that I do think there has been needless civilian deaths because how this has been handled. Let's face it Israelis are mad and they have decided Hamas must be eradicated. So they are not as cautious about civilians as they have been in the past.

Hamas started this not realizing how far Israel will go. Major miscalculation on there part.
