Russia abides by its own doctrine, simply stated.

Russia will NEVER make a first strike in a nuclear event. The only circumstances that can lead to Russian 'nuclear' warfare is as a retaliatory strike.

Russia has the mindset, that no one will invade or destroy Russia and survive it .. 'MAD' if they did!

America has adopted the first strike doctrine, and you have the deep state(foreign influence) and a mentally deficient president in control.

What could go wrong?

at least we learned the reason for the war: russia feared a attack from nato and a little bit because of the nazis in ukraine (his argumentation on this was not easy to follow).

No one wants to attack that frozen hellhole outside of maybe China. The interesting part is there are a lot more so-called Nazies in Russia than in Ukraine.

I would respect him if he told the truth and said something like... We want at a minimum a land bridge to Crimea, more access to the Black Sea, and the great deposits of natural gas in the Donbas area. The best end game would be all of Ukraine and that would provide us with all the agricultural benefits Ukraine has, increase our population by 30%, and create a direct land transport of all our energy products directly to the EU while cutting out the middle man, and creating a large military buffer.

Buit no...it still about the Nazies lol

You don't think we could invade Russia with all our might and not be in Moscow very quickly? Ukraine is fighting them with both hands tied behind their back compared to what we would bring. Hell, their crappy homemade hand grenade drones are devastating Russia's fleet and providing a 20 to 1 kill ratio...

Senior U.S. officials said that Biden has decided not to follow through on his 2020 pledge to declare that the sole purpose of nuclear weapons is to deter a nuclear attack against the United States or its allies. Instead, he approved a version of a policy from the Obama administration that leaves open the option to use nuclear weapons not only in retaliation to a nuclear attack, but also to respond to non-nuclear threats.

Explain to me why not use nukes, they are not dirty like nukes of old, just a lot of BOOM with extremely short radiation periods.

Actually, your post here is the most... stared back...

It's been 2 years with zero planes used. America achieves air dominance and that is the end of it all. Don't you love those videos of 20 tanks that are blown to crap from small drones...think of what just one A-10 would do... The only thing Russia has is a nuke threat.. We see what they are when someone actually pushes back a little. Too much corruption and stagnation living on their glory days of a strong Russia, they are not the Russia of the 80s...

I wasn't there when Nazis were starting to be a problem before the world war, I feel like if I was there I'd want to do something about it. His father served, witnessed hell on earth, talked to young Putin about it, and now he is describing its resurgence, so it appears there's generational trauma and he wants to finish the fight his dad started.

You do know that is like saying all of the Americas below the USA are Mexican...lol

Lots of the same heritage from days of old, I agree, but little things like killing off 30% of the population and putting 10,000 in gulags, etc kind of put a bad taste in most Ukrainians' mouths. The USSR was not nice to them, so I think they have a leg to stand on when they say they do not want any part of that crap again. Plus USSR made them their own country back in 1992, so what you you call it then, my bad we want you back?

Did you spare some time to listen to the interview? It would be more interesting to hear your views on that.

All you are doing is repeating the same dying narrative over and over hoping that it will come true.

The reason Ukraine is NOT using its airforce, is because they all got shot down within weeks of the special operation.

Currently (know about weapons), the US is far behind its adversaries with regards to hypersonic weapons. They are unstoppable and can deliver conventional or nuclear bombs. The Russian land army has never been more potent after over 2yrs of bloody war. Weapons have been developed, based on modern ground warfare, and at this point in time Russia could only be seriously affected by a nuclear strike.

Russian is saying, that if that event were to happen, then, all the countries forming that alliance will be turned to glass.

Putin himself stated, paraphrased. "What good is a world, if Russia is not allowed to participate in it"

Time to wake up America! .. Russia is not the aggressor. Russia does not want expansionism, it just wants security for its people. .. Ask Joe Biden if he wants to same for his people.

You do know the Russians were worse than the Nazies in the end..lol geez. You had this evil thing called Nazies and then you have super evil things called Russians.

Do you really think he decided to kill a million people because of Nazies... lol geez.

He was the head of the KGB 100% pure USSR through and through. He said the greatest tragedy in the last 100+ years was the fall of the USSR, NOT WWI, or WWII, or anything else it was the downsizing of the great USSR and he wants the old team back together again.

Touche, I can’t provide it.

Memory served me wrong because I fell for the headlines.

Best I can do is former RU president, but alas, not a leader anymore.
thehill.com...

Seems neither side has done anything other than say they’d retaliate which is implied in MAD doctrine.

BTW are you Russian? It seems you have little clue as to what America would bring to the battle.

I will listen to it, and I actually listened to the Charlie Rose one the other day to compare. You should too as it is interesting to hear what Putin said 4+ years ago and how it turned out today.

BTW the Russian soldiers are not living long enough to learn anything as Russia dumps another 400k into the fight as the other 400k are gone.

Appreciate it.

Only reason I know is because at the start of the thing, there were some prolific socks that kept me busy.
