Call it whatever you want, businesses are there to sell goods and services, not tell you how you need to vote and what political BS to support or not support.

part of sales is to use what people do or say to convince them that they want to buy whatever youre selling or to create new products they want.

Yes -- and you'd think they'd target middle aged women who are the biggest shoppers.

But, NO. The target is teens and young adults -- because they haven't settled on their "fave" product -- they have changeable minds.

And who is more interested in changing/progressing social norms? Teens and young adults.

IF -- Majority of Americans think businesses shouldn't take political-social stances on current events -- why does it keep happening.

Maybe they're polling the wrong age group

I'm getting real sick and tired of all this control freak MAGA BSers, thinking they know how to run my business better than me and telling me to shut up.

I was a customer service manager and ran a small business with my ex-husband.

If you had a sign in your window (in now times) that said: "We do not support LGBTQ+" -- how do you think that would affect your business?

If I had a sign like that...even straight people would shop elsewhere. What these members that are telling me to not voice my opinions about politics and culture; I don't think they have ever been in business or they wouldn't promote this anti 1st BS. Honestly though, I'm not surprised by fascists wanting to limit freedom of speech. Maybe they aren't real fascist....but they sure don't respect the Bill of Rights or the Constitution.

Odd.

I have been supporting the rights of businesses to have opinions on social and political issues.

It is you that is against this.

As in, you support cancel culture.

Your algorithms seem, broken?

That's your right.
But businesses should stay away from taking stances on social and political issues and especially stop pushing the woke propaganda.

The most logical answer.
Businesses are there to sell us their goods and services and not tell us what to do, how to think, what to think, what to say or not say, or try to push the liberal nonsense.

It doesn't mean they can't have opinions with which you disagree, either.

Which is best to keep it for themselves and not try to push woke nonsense around.

Remember the slogan?

As a citizen you can do as you wish.
As Bud Light or Burger King or Nike or McDonalds, better leave it. Businesses are there to sell us their good and services and not radical left wing nonsense.

So, alleged minority opinions must be stamped out and ignored?

Sounds a bit.... Authoritarian and...Fascist?

I think everyone should play "Guess The Company".

Included in these are 3 NOTORIOUS woke companies stock over the last 5 years.

I challenge people to pick them out the woke among the goats (as in zonk), w0ithout looking up names first.

The following 6 companies.

Pfizer, Tesla, Exxon, Inbev, Target, Disney

If you don't show some reality documentation, how do you expect to have any credibility? Repeating the same BS phrases over and over again doesn't help your argument and trashes your online persona. You aren't an American citizen are you? At least that's what I surmise by your lack of respect for the bill of Rights and the US Constitution.

Nope you're mistaken as usual.
Documentation? For a slogan? And yes I am from the US and you're mistaken again. Lack of credibility?! That goes well to those who align with the woke ideals and the 156 gender-theory that some of these businesses stand for.

And 'inclusivity'...

It's a slogan by the way.

Demanding sources for a slogan when you provide nothing other than your unsubstantiated opinions is just hilarious.

The slogan describes perfectly what happens when you engage with the woke culture as a business. Which is related to the topic of this thread.

Then why are more and more corporations/companies joining the social/political "wokeness".

Strange math.
