you keep forgetting the rules of clown world are vastly different than those of the real world. In clown world, you have clowns cheering on the destruction of the court system in favor of "getting Trump". Sure they are toe sucking DERPS, but they are consistent.

If I go to an accountant to do my taxes but I don't provide them with all of my relevant financial documents, who's getting in trouble with the IRS when I underpay?

do you think if you did that, they would prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, or would you get an audit (possibly) and asked to pay the amount you owe?

Asking for a DERP

I’d say there’s definitely a difference in scale there.

Yea, I suppose since NYC has solved all their other pressing issues, fulfilling Leticia James' campaign promise to "go after Trump" is likely the best use of their time and the tax payer's cash. I mean, what if he would have defaulted? followed by DERP.

I'd say it comes to how often you did it and for how much money. If we're talking over the course of multiple years and to tune off over $100 million I think there might be some more severe repercussions.

Can you guys ever stick to the subject?

Man!! You’re like octopuses with tentacles scavenging.

“Don’t look here — look over there and there and there. But don’t look HERE.

Your accountant. Even TurboTax offers you assistance if something is incorrect. If you do not give them all the needed documents it does NOT go any farther.

What you said though explains it all.

If they, the accountants, admit they do not have the relevant documents...how can they sign off on the numbers? Sounds like someone needs to sue the accountants and not try to convict Trump.

They didn't know Trump Org didn't provide them all the pertinent documents. How can they include them when they don't know they exist?

How can they say they did not get them if they did not know they needed them? I mean really. This is not that hard. I know you want Trump to take one in the nuts for this but it is, just, not right it is happening.

Example. A Trump Tower penthouse condo was vauled at 40 million but a buy out clause of 14 million to the renter. Does this mean it is worth 40 million or 14? The lender would determine that with due diligence. The AG wants to say that it is fraud....How?

It's always amusing to see what you deem factual.

Mazars has learned of the existence of these documents through this case. For example, how were they supposed to know Trump's triplex was being valued off a 30,000 sq ft apartment when it was a third of the size.

Last time I checked, accountants aren't usually expected to pour through schematics to make sure you're telling the truth about the size of your house. They just expect you to ner truthful about those kinds of things because it's your ass on the line.

Last time I checked a judge is not a property appraiser either.

can you show in writing somewhere giving the approved way to value property in a case like this?

Then I guess it's a good thing he's not doing any valuations.

He is however the arbiter of justice in this case and has ruled there is insurmountable evidence that Trump Org had a persistent history of fraud.

Starting with the GAAP Handbook of Policies & Procedures is probably a good jumping off point.
