Judges don't need to be experts on the matters they are ruling on. If they did, there would be a lot of crimes that just couldn't be ruled on. That's the whole point of expert witnesses.

The prosecution's expert witnesses testified that the actions of Trump Org were beyond the norm and seemed like an attempt to defraud the banks for millions of dollars.

But do you honestly believe in your heart of hearts, that Trump org is the only business to operate like this in NYC?

And that matters why?

Do you know if the judge didn't confer with anyone before making his summary judgment?

If at the end of all of this Trump Org is found not liable, I'll be more than willing to admit that the prosecutor failed to make their case.

Considering it's not the first company to be found liable for a 63-12 violation, I have no problem admitting other companies in New York are also committing fraud.

Yep, that report is dead in the water just like Hillary’s emails.

Never to be heard or discussed again.

Mueller made it very clear Trump was not exonerated.

Another source to add:

A U.S. federal judge on Tuesday ruled that former President Donald Trump—the twice-impeached GOP presidential front-runner facing 91 federal and state criminal charges in four separate cases—committed fraud over a period of years while building his real estate businesses.

Mueller made it very clear that that one scientist did the anthrax... for 7 years, then wait, after the lawsuit which paid the poor man millions for harrasment from the govt, Mueller was clear a different scientist did the anthrax, particularly after that fellow killed himself from the hounding.

Then it was case closed. And NEVER made clear. But it protected Bush the Elder. Which was Bush the Youngers desire.

Yeah, Mueller probably couldn't find his way clear to the bathroom adjacent to his office if that isnt what his bosses what.

Depends on who you read.

Unlike Mueller’s statement that Trump was not exonerated.

It matters because on the surface it looks like this is only being enforced because someone has a personal problem with the defendant. What about you, would you say this law should be applied equally or only when you want to take someone down because you simple don't like them?

I try to be as Centrist as I can.

I'm not seeing what I would call bias in the legal proceedings.

I'd say they are "sticking to the letter of the law".

There may be personal bias -- but I am not seeing it in the proceedings.

This is about Trump -- not other cases. So, unless other cases are being used as precedent -- they are not relevant.

The Feds may have changed their mind about pressing charges against Trump Org.

McConney mentioned during his testimony today that he had been subpoenaed by the SDNY this morning.

They should gag James....she paid their star witness over 350k for their testimony...

"Several of these experts are longtime friends and golf buddies of Donald Trump. One had donated millions of dollars to Donald Trump's campaign and his son even got married at Mar-a-Lago," she said.

Why is this even relevant? If this is all the AG can say she has # for a case.

and this line from the accountants....

When he testified earlier in the trial, Bender said Trump’s company retained Mazars to compile its internal figures, not to audit them. He said Trump’s execs were “not giving us all the documents that we needed, potentially, to compile the compilation.”

If a document is not provided that is needed than it is the fault of the bank for putting it thru. Right there in black and white.

Mazars isn't a bank. They're an outside accounting firm that Trump Org used to help compile their financial statements to the bank. Trump Org didnt provide all of the relevant documents to Mazars. As a result, important information was not included in the financial statements given to the banks.

And I have no idea where your claim about paying a witness $350k is coming from.

Apart from the testimony of Donald Trump Jr., the defense's case last week largely relied on multiple experts who supported the claim that asset valuation is more of an art than a science.

Similar to the state's lone expert witness, who was paid $350,000 for his testimony, Trump's expert witnesses during the first week of the defense's case were paid a hefty fee for testifying -- while others testified as a professional courtesy to Trump.

L ink

I understand Mazars is outside accounting. They were used to create financial statements but as they say did not have all they needed. That is not the fault of the borrower. If the bank or account approves or submits without something that is on them not the person getting the loan.
