The dumbest thing I hear is “ the lesser of two evils” as if America has only two choices.

Back to Trump... NY (every place) values all property for taxes. I have already posted how they do it and the process, so it doesn't matter what Trump or any business says as to the value of their property the Government tells them what the value is for taxes and is almost always under the real value of the place. Look at the property tax of your house. You didn't set it and it is below its true value. That is a process outside of what you, me or Trump has any power over.

As to overvalue...who is to say what value anything is? Establishing value comes when things sell, whether buildings or baseball cards. Whatever something sells for is its value, so if a person has a price of 1 million on a house and can only get 600k then the value is 600k. I'm selling my house right now and the realtor looked at "liked" houses as to what they recently sold for and that kind of set the price, so it is extremely variable.

If Trump goes to a bank and says I value my property at 600 million and the bank says OK we accept your number and here is your loan. Then Trump pays off the loan where is the fraud? The bank should do its due diligence and look at the value of the place starting with the public tax listing. They can also do their own assessment to protect their loan.

My point in both cases is that Trump's opinion means nothing in the end as either way outside agencies will assess value, so where is the crime? This was first pushed in Civil court because there was no crime as NYC wanted to sue Trump for 250 million, and that went nowhere. Now they come back with this...

We keep seeing very progressive justice systems attacking Trump with whatever they can and they end up in smoke with nothing to them. The point for them to do it is to get it on page one for weeks, months, or even years as we saw with the Russian hoax, and when it finally ends with nothing it is page 20 small print.

So who cares about value as in what you or I think it is? The Judge says his property is worth 75 million with like 50 bedrooms 45 bathrooms a large amount of land etc. and a house near there sells for 50 million and has 6 bedrooms on a small piece of beach. Who is this judge to say anything as to value other than it all being political?

I said this before, if Trump dropped out of the Presidential race tomorrow then a day later all these charges would also disappear, think about that for a moment whether you like or hate Trump.

This civil case has been quietly lurking in the background for quite some time but it's been overshadowed by the criminal cases against Trump.

And now the biggest aspect of the case has been decided before the trial starts due to the judge granting a partial summary judgment stating that the Trump Organization committed fraud by overvaluing its assets.

The case is still set to go to a bench trial next week to rule on a number of other issues, as well as determine punishment.

While no news outlets seem to be reporting on it, the actual ruling goes on to sanction Trump's lawyers. It also appears to dissolve a number of Trump's companies, including Trump Organization Inc and Trump Organization, LLC, which I believe are the Trump Organization's two biggest holdings.

So after all these bogus criminal charges that failed now they're trying to do what exactly?!

What's next? after this one fails again...

Maybe charges he has taken part in Alien Mutilations of Cows in Nevada and New Mexico?

Or that he could be responsible for climate change...

Remind me again: of what charges has he been acquitted?

There were the impeachments, of course, of which he was discharged by a complaisant and partisan Senate. Apart from those? Has any judge yet said to him in court, 'You're free to go?'

When that happens, or when you see an egregious miscarriage of justice perpetrated against Trump in the form of a court verdict, you'll be able to argue that your argument is reality-based. Till then: sorry, it won't wash.

This is about a position you have taken, nothing more. Your claimed motive for it -- 'fake accusations' (the man himself prefers the term 'witch hunt', I hear) -- doesn't exist in reality. Until it does, I'm afraid it's about you. Can't help but be.
