The incentive to do better, the incentive not to cheat, so as not to get an F next time. Basic stuff.

When you did nothing to earn a grade but are given that grade anyways, what does that teach someone?

Seriously ?
You ask that ?
I would hope that the answer to your question was self evident and you didn't have to ask .
I would have laughed if that wasn't so sad .

So you run a lemonade stand and hire someone to run it for 8 hours per day. You charge 50 cents a cup and the material is 25 cents of that, so how much do you pay the person running it? If you suggest a living wage then we need to increase the cost per cup right? So now we need to sell one cup at 2 bucks and people are like hell no that is too expensive so you close up shop.
You need to figure in the worth of the job in all this too otherwise your McD will be 25 bucks a burger and no one will pay that. wages go up, prices go up, and there is no win except for the new hires that get a wage equal to the ones busting their butts for 10 years.

Psychology says otherwise. Rewarding bad behavior just makes more bad behavior.

This is not rewarding behaviour this is eliminating punishment and replacing it with other strategies.

Everyone learns from failure. If you do something and it doesn't work, then you don't do it again. That's learning from failure. Basic psychology. Evolutionary psychology.

You are guessing what this plan will do because it is not yet implemented for anyone to make any assessment.
That's not guesswork. That's a fact. That's exactly what it does ... rewarding bad behavior means more bad behavior. This doesn't do the child any favors.
It is not rewarding bad behaviour, it is identifying and strategizing how to help 'all' children succeed.
Help them succeed at what , exactly ?
Filling out a welfare form ?
Bush and his ridiculous "no child left behind" bullsh__ is the reason the US is lagging behind the world in education standards.
The word for today is "incentive"
What incentive does a child have when getting a zero or "F" mark?
