I'll just say this one last thing...

You are all pro-State now because for you, the State happens to be on "your" side now.
Political leanings of the government go back and forth all the time - they are never the same.

Do you realize less than 50 years ago your situation with the State would have been VERY different?

To wonderful State you aren't paranoid about would have done this to you are your autistic/trans child:

1. Removed you as guardian (common if you wanted care)
2. Place your child in a group home for mentally distributed children
3. Treated your child as if they could control their autistic characteristics. Very possible they would use physical punishment
4. Blamed you for your child having autism. They would call you a cold and uncaring mother
5.Treated any non-straight ideas/actions as a mental illness

And if you think it can't ever go back - you are ignoring thousands of years of history.

Dramatized extremism much?

I’ve been here on ATS for 16 years.

I am not unaware. But I’m not paranoid either.

Can’t wait until the state refuses to manage your sewers. Feel free to take care of them yourself.

Any ideology different than yours is "indoctrination" and "horrors".

Listening to your kid?

The horror.

Parents always listen to children. But seldom are we supposed to obey them in their wishes.

Unless you want chocolate pudding for dinner.

lol

History shows LGBTQ* kids need a safe haven — often from their own parents.

That’s a majority history — not a selected rare occurrence.

AGAIN - YOU said a majority of TRANS homes are unsafe. Unsafe means abusive or violent. Provide credible studies that show a majority of trans parents are violent or abusive. Otherwise this is just you voicing your OPINION again and not having any facts to back it up

Some do — some don’t.

For some parents the indoctrination/ideology takes priority.

Back in the day it was called raising a child.

I wanted to be James Bond as a lad. My parents didn’t buy me a Walter PPK to kill Russians though.

Nothing is manipulated. I'm posting your exact words. We've all been waiting for 10 pages for you to actually back up your OPINION with some facts. Well .. were you just running your mouth or do you actually have any facts to present showing that Trans homes are violent or abusive?

Stop ignoring this.

I’m from back in the day.

When anything not accepted by “polite society” was hidden.

Thankfully we have evolved.

Spare me the "evolved" claptrap.

Our society has become dumber, more obedient, and easily manipulated by social media.

it's just their MO, there is no organic discussion possible, it's either fear driven or plain propaganda, at least let's hope it's not some mental impairing that's at work that would really take the joy out of it...

I know.

A real conversation would be nice.

You are having real conversations.

You just fail to see them as what they are because they have apposing views.

Not true.

I have no problem seeing opposing views.

How they’re delivered?

People would have more respect towards you Annee, if you wouldn't just selectively answer to a member's post where you can bring up your feelz. On posts that are clear cut and not insulting, you don't even seem to react. It's like they are invisible to you, because you can't argue against it.

And then you just leave and you wonder why people get fed up about you. You start arguments, you too feed into them but if it get's difficult, you just give up. Of course you're not even in the position to be able to argue against pure logic.

People notice this and it makes you look like you have no integrity to yourself. You only tackle things that you can dismiss with your feelz and victimize yourself.

What you do when you only answer the easy posts is silently admitting that you can't counter any of these logic arguments, because you are simply on the unlogic side of things.

Actually, no

There is no real discussion of exchange of ideas/thoughts.

As previously stated, there has been.

You have just chosen to ignore those that are adding to the conversation based on a bias you have in your mind of who they are and what they stand for.

I see it from a lot of users on here

Annee,

Do you have a line in which the State is allowed to secretly counsel and provide medication/surgery.

If so, what is that line and what studies would have to back it up?

Is that something they’re allowed to do now?

Except in rare cases when a parent refuses medical care — and the child’s life is in danger.
