Yes I see now, the two companies as well as Boeing are in cahoots so to speak to develop the overall system. I jumped to conclusions and assumed that, since the article was from last year that they had accomplished it, but after further reading i see they have delayed the tests until next year. So at least we are close.

I am also reading about Isreali MoD working with Elbit systems and successfully utilizing airborne lasers to knock out some missiles in 2021. They claim them to be "High Powered" though I will admit I do not know what would be considered high powered in this application.

300kw systems seem to be the standard at the moment? What kind of damage does that entail, how long would the laser need to be on target for its intended purpose?
And do you know why the US doesn't work with the same Elbit Systems as they have operations here in the US with seemingly proven capabilities, even if they are only drones.

Could we at least agree that, in theory a 300kw laser could start a fire?

A 300kw system could start a small fire, yes. The standard systems currently are 150kw systems. Lockheed is working on HELSI under a contract awarded this year. It will be a 500kw system.

The Israelis are looking to build a 100kw system with an effective range of 12 miles. It will effectively destroy systems at 4-6 miles.

I’ll post more on laser systems when I get home.

lol, thanks for the chuckle. Another "well researched" topic that has no grounds in reality.

Go look up how fire propagates mate. These bitchute videos are complete garbage.

Space based DEW. Now I know it's possible, since I designed and had prototyped a 3 megawatt plasma ring laser with a built in a/b particle accelerator in 1987 for the military. My wife is still pissed off CI got that from me.The energy storage tech has gotten much better since then with diaphanous barium titanate supercapacitors and other novel tech. Still, they would need large solar panels or a good on-demand nuclear reactor. And don't say it couldn't happen, I know the treaty says no reactors in space, but hey, it's against the law to commit genocide using an mRNA bio weapon as well, but they did that too. I look at the firing and dispersion rates, creating localized fires and can only come to the conclusion, it's DEWs.

so what if one of these systems was mounted on, lets say, a bus sized high altitude balloon?

What about radio and microwave and millimeter systems (think 5G)?
All have been known to have the ability to focus energy in weaponized forms for active denial systems as well as equipment disruption.
What if something like an atmospheric disruption caused an amplification of a 5G signal and these are happening purely by accident?
If a radio waves can be a fire hazard at a distance of 30km, couldn't something like HAARP be a danger, and even start a fire?

A space based DEW still has to deal with atmospheric effects. As for the treaty it doesn’t say anything about reactors. It says no weapons of mass destruction.

Why isnt this used more widely in the aerospace and motor vehicle industries? seems a lot more stable than L-ion
sry if off topic

I keep trying to read more about Chinas development of DEW;s but there isnt much to directly take info from, one thing that keeps popping up is their satellite killing space weapons, seems they don't care about treaties.

Here we have a before and after shot of a devastated area on the Island of Maui, how is it possible that the trees with foliage, are still there after a fire has gone through the area, when the houses all around are burnt to the ground. How is it that boats have been burned to the waterline when they are sitting out on a mooring? There are also few if any reports from Islanders on the web it is all MSM, this usually occurs when they want to control the narration. This looks a bit suspect. www.bitchute.com...
Here is another one with the trunk of the tree bursting with fire and the foliage undamaged, the guy narrating thinks some sort of plasma weapon was used.www.bitchute.com...
Is there anything that ISN’T a conspiracy theory ? Fire does odd things.

HAARP affects the very upper atmosphere by heating the local ionosphere. It couldn’t start a fire in Hawaii.

As for a high altitude balloon, it would be at the extreme edge of its range at altitude, and it could be seen. I have great pictures of a balloon at 60,000 feet taken with my cell phone. Even better ones later with my DSLR.

HPMs have a longer range, but are much more effective against electronics and people than against buildings and trees. They could start a fire in a building and it spread that way.

Finding info on Chinese systems is damn near impossible. ASAT lasers don’t violate any treaties though.

My brother lived on different islands doing mission works. He says no it is just like anywhere else, started by lightning and that like rest of country it is bone dry there.

As for trees, well California never learned either. Trees are made to withstand fire, most of them. Some of certain size will burn anyway. The problem is the underbrush and dead dry foliage that builds up and control burns are not done.

If you go somewhere that forest are their industry you understand. Control burns save the forest, ridding it of the fuel for wild fire and allowing most trees to survive.

Natural wild fire renews the forest and life there. And fire like tornadoes are unpredictable.

The fires are real and not started by govt. It is interesting Biden tying release of FEMA money to Hawaii supporting more money for Ukraine. Hmmmm

Now as veteran and someone who helped setup simulation center there I am all for helping the enemy of our enemies but this way is just wrong and more corruption by Biden.

He really needs dirt nap. Oh you can't say that anymore, FBI just killed a guy for that.

When did we change to Venezuela, Iran, Russia etc. I also see Biden loading up more 747 full of cash, billions to the terrorist in Iran for five dual citizens. Seriously, how can we allow them support ctry that wants to wipe us off the earth.

Biden has to go before it too late. Now Russia n China encroaching on Alaska, seriously.

China and Russia have been “encroaching” on US territory for decades. During the Cold War both used to shoot down US planes near their airspace. More recently they fly into the ADIZ around US territories to monitor our response. Shops in the Bering Sea almost have to get near Alaska to get into the Pacific.

China has been working up their carrier groups and ships around Guam and other US bases in Asia for years now.

reply to Blue Jacket: Here in Happy Camp there were police blocking the roads into town. Sadly, the only people that got into town were looters. A lot of the people here that got burned out couldn't really rebuild, no one will sell them homeowners insurance that is even close to being affordable. It was a strange time. Hopefully it was a once in a lifetime event, but I doubt it.

I hear you. I know what you went through, you have my prayers. It’s why we moved. The fires kept coming, so we left in 2022. Thank God our home was able to be sold and we hightailed it to the land of rain and tornadoes.

So for all the snideness from some posters, nobody seems to be able to explain why a car in a parking lot can burst into flames with no fuel around it. Leaving the foliage green on the few trees around them still standing.

Maui: flash drought and anomalous 85 MPH winds perfectly timed to create an unprecedented inferno. "Maui experienced a two-category increase in drought severity in just three weeks from May to June, with that rapid intensification fitting the definition of a flash drought" (ABC news). "Even in the past week there's been a quick acceleration of that drought", said University of Virginia hydrologist Venkat Lakshmi (ABC news). "Flash droughts occur when the rain stops and it gets so hot that the atmosphere literally sucks moisture out of the ground and plants, making them more likely to catch fire (ABC news). "Major differences in air pressure drove unusually strong trade winds that fanned the destructive flames, according to meteorologists" (ABC news). An anomalously powerful clockwise rotating high pressure zone north of Hawaii combined with the anomalously resilient counter clockwise rotating Hurricane Dora south of Hawaii to create a surface level wind tunnel effect over Maui. Was the convergence of all these conditions just coincidence? Just random acts of nature? Or is there much more to the story that we are not being told? What puzzle piece is being systematically omitted from climate collapse catastrophe reporting of events that are unfolding all over the world? All are needed in the critical battle to wake populations to what is coming, we must make every day count. Share credible data from a credible source, make your voice heard. Dane Wigington

Trees hold water, which helps protect them from fire. Banyan trees don’t have a main trunk, they grow roots into the ground and the main trunk dies so the tree is more spread out, which means more water. The trees in Hawaii are mostly coconut and banyan. This fire was also fairly low because of the winds blowing so hard.
