Maybe one day the State deems you should have no say in your grandchild's life.

And cut you out. For some hypothetical scenario.

Are you still going to go with that "It's about the kids" line?

Youd think we would get used to it.

Youd think it would be universally accepted to leave the kids alone.

Yet, here we both are

It's more about dissolving the rights of parents than it is being touted as being "inclusive".

When were they not inclusive?

Not about the parents.

It’s about the kids.

It's about parents having the right to determine their childrens education.

So it definitely IS about the parents, might want to read the OP.

NO

It’s about kids being safe in THEIR environment.

Describe the unsafe environment that simply learning math, writing, history would entail.

He’s been in Special Ed since he was 4.

I’ve trusted the school and the teachers completely.

I’ve always gone with their recommendations and it’s been amazing.

They are the experts in their field. I’m just a caregiver.

So if I am to understand your response, if the school and teachers felt you should have no say in, or knowledge of details surrounding (insert hypothetical) in regards to your grandchild, you would be totally okay with that?

Read , memorize, take a test. Been there done that.

In what way does that help you be a part of the world?

If they said we have a Russian kid in our class therefore we’re gonna study Russian.

That would be inclusive. That would make him feel like he belongs and it’s OK to be who he is.

And NO, I don’t think I have a right to object.

But if you’re gonna throw some extremism wakadoo at me, I’m not interested in responding.

No Annee,

I'm simply asking

If they said that you have no right to decide what your grandchild is learning, and that you have no right to know the details of it, would you be okay with that?

No, I'm not going to throw any extreme examples at you. Just gonna leave it as a hypothetical. Use your own imagination to fill in the blank.

I see you said,

And NO, I don’t think I have a right to object.

So you wouldn't object even if it was something that you think your grandchild doesn't need to learn?

So you would relent your grandparental rights over to the State, if they said they know better?

Just pick something you wouldn't want your grandchild exposed to for whatever reasons you have and fill in that hypothetical blank. You don't even have to tell us what it is.

De-Trans Awareness Day Panel Discussion With De-Transitioners

Watch the first ever Q&A panel discussion with 7 detransitioners filmed on De-trans Awareness Day 2023. 7 Detransitioners speak publicly and answer questions from the audience at a film screening of the documentary No Way Back: The Realities of Gender Affirming Care.

The panel discusses the medical ethics of the gender affirmation model of care for gender dysphoria, and the untold harm personally endured by notable detransitioners Chloe Cole, Laura Becker, Luka Hein, Brian Wagner, Estella Suarez-Hamilton, and Shapeshifter.

The panel answers questions from concerned parents about the relationship between gender distress, social contagion, trauma, and familial relationships, and panelists give advice about maintaining and repairing relationships with children and loved ones who are experiencing identity issues.

A trailer for the documentary mentioned in the panel video above:

I support inclusion and the right of kids to discover who they are in a safe environment.

Which this thread is actually about.

Kids will tell their parents if they feel they will be accepted and can trust their parents.

But those are not the parents that are protesting.
