Well, the kid recruit meme was there with Jack Saffarti’s famous Indrid Cold-type phone call he got as a kid, and I think Strieber got one too.

So, GUT, you think they're looking for serious scientists to make believers and ufo evangelists?
I think that makes sense and is proven by events...

Though that is outside of the Bennewitz type, who they knew was always disturbed, so took advantage of that for a direct assault on the ufo community.

First, you had the early baby boomers: Streiber, Vallee, Puthoff, Alender, and Green, which we’ll call the Beatles generation...The alien on the phone era.

Good for him, although I think it was a right place/ right time circumstance that launched him (so to speak) into the spotlight.

What annoys me is that none of these "experts" have ever encountered an alien, or been on an alien ship. I should be the one that's up there, I'm a legitimate expert when it comes to aliens. I've spent a lot of time in their company, my experiences pre-date Whitley Streiber and Travis Walton. Ah, well.

I hear all you say of course. Am very cautious. Whilst I find Nolan very very smart indeed I still go hmmm. As far as Grusch goes there is his lawyer at the conference I suppose .
