STATEMENT OF OPPOSITION TO LEGISLATION BANNING ACCESS TO GENDER-AFFIRMING HEALTH CARE IN THE US
Both the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and the US affiliate, the United States Professional Association for Transgender Health (USPATH), vehemently oppose the broad and sweeping legislation being introduced and ratified in states across the country to ban access to gender-affirming health care to transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people. WPATH’s long-standing Standards of Care for Transgender and Gender Diverse People, now in its eighth version (SOC8), explain in detail the science- and evidence-based benefits of gender affirming care for TGD people. Any legislation that restricts or prohibits access to this care is against best practice medical standards and is condemned by WPATH and USPATH.
“Anti-transgender health care legislation is not about protections for children but about eliminating transgender persons on a micro and macro scale,” said WPATH President, Dr. Marci Bowers. “It is a thinly veiled attempt to enforce the notion of a gender binary.” . . .

making assumptions of others and telling them what to research is exactly what poisoned this topic and created much of the pushback against trans..
its that research that throws up the trans as a higher percentage of sexual offenders at just 0.5% of the uk pop but 0.6% of the sex offender population..
its the same with the elite sports.. where you get those with dsd going through male puberty and the 10% advantage that gives only losing 7% with t suppressed, so still goes in with a large male advantage.
this is the whole flaw in telling people to educate themselves is they will and off the back of that start organiasing themselves.
we see that same thinking in other areas hence why all the various narratives are collapsing and even why the alien revelations created zero waves.
for my part while I've known Sharon DaviEs from my youth but also follow developmental biologists like Emma Hilton (FondOfBeetles).. i admire emma as she'll go toe to toe with anyone on this topic..
as for polling vs actual balloting results there are claims the pollsters use polls to shape thinking not show results but the shift i see comes back to people educating themselves and organising themselves hence the good news of how the Irish women organising among themselves have go barbie kasrdasian moved into a male prison.. this is a trans prisoner who even threatened to rape the female prison officers..
we are over the peak now.

I don't know about enforcement but gender is binary.
Basic fact
Obviously the trans lobby wants gender to be fluid and non-binary. But one needs to have a very bad relationship with reality to claim there are millions and millions of genders.

You're now appealing to emotions again after discussing gender is not binary.
Your link, banning 'gender affirming care', criticises the motives of those who are in favour. But there is no gender affirming care medically speaking. It's a pseudo-science the trans agenda fully supports. Butchering of genitalia together with hormones and never ending drugs is not only harmful but it's unethical and criminal.

According to the authors, who are based at the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, “All postsurgical participants (68 of 68; 100%) affirmed the statement, ‘It was a good decision to undergo chest reconstruction.’”
Gender-altering surgery in teens is less common than hormone treatment, but many centers hesitate to give exact numbers.
Guidelines say such surgery generally should be reserved for those aged 18 and older. The World Professional Association for Transgender Health says breast removal surgery is OK for those under 18 who have been on testosterone for at least a year. The Endocrine Society says there isn’t enough evidence to recommend a specific age limit for that operation.

All I ask is to please read what I post because many of the issues are still controversial and the science is not quite there yet.
as i see it there is only science.. there is no one side or other when it comes to science with all topics debatable but as we have seen with all these intersecting topics the science of today is tainted by bias/funding/ideology and it all smells very much like 1930s pseudoscience.
its also worth noting other cultural differences in play that both sides in the usa come across as deeply misogynistic to outside eyes/ears relying on antiquated sexual stereotypes to define the world (not saying that is right/wrong).
We had transexuals and transvestites at the roman catholic school i attended in the 1970s, so i never thought it an issue. any boy that wanted to play in the girls playground got to wear a girls uniform, attend girls classes, use toilets, changing rooms etc growing up where I did I went to pride in the mid/late 1980s (first one here was 1972) a friend nursed the aids patients dieing at the local aids hospital when everyone was cowering in fear of the plague on toilet seats/door handles, very much like covid..
so thats the culture i grew up in and the issue I see is the wholesale adoption of the us cultural war, as though in doing so it gains goodie points from the empire of the day. i liken it to the wholesale adoption of the continental reformation/counter reformation and it risks creating a similar sectarian outcome.. the difference comes back to the polling when asked about transgender most are supportive, when told these are biologically intact people that opinion reverses, thats the effect of changing transexual to transgender, what transgender actually does is put transvestites and transsexuals in the same pot.. like the reformation words are power changing their meaning for political purposes tyndale did that with his word choices..eg doing penance instead of repent.
thats the negative part of adopting cultures conflicts wholesale as it means you need tools to navigate the clashes they cause, in the reformation England adopted the test act for those wanting to serve in public office, that is an affirmation yes or no when questioned on transubstantiation ie one thing transitioning into another, the modern version is "what is a woman" and like the test act it has a specific answer the modern answer is "an adult human female" so to get in office a politician has to be able to pass the test, recently the leader of the labour party passed the test.. he answered what is a woman so can now look to get in office..
for the USA like the Vatican this places England rather than the uk as thorn but a thorn to both sides as the clashes between the likes of matt walsh and the likes 0f helen joyce/JKR/Posie Parker etc highlight how far apart both sides on each side of the Atlantic are.
