The more I am reading the more I am learning they are cheap industry renegades.

www.npr.org...

Most of the companies in this industry that are building submersibles and deep submersibles follow a fairly well-established framework of certification and verification and oversight, through classification societies," he said. "And that was at the root of OceanGate's project, is that they were going to go solo, going without that type of official oversight, and that brought a lot of concerns."

"We have submarines all over the world diving 12,000 to 20,000 feet every day of the year for research," he said. "We know very well how to build and how to design these machines and how to operate them safely."

The same is true for tourism purposes, he adds: "It just gets expensive."

Like way more expensive than a Logitech game controller and scrap metal for ballast.

On a superstitious note, I CANT IGNORE, a screaming intuition.

I'm curious to know how many things went wrong leading up to this. It's known the seas were rough, and they had a minimal window for the year. That's never a good plan. It's like ignoring something trying to tell you to hold off for yet to materialize reasons.

Like all those events and people that begged NASA to postpone the Challenger launch, that were ignored.

I'm wondering how many snags they pushed through or dismissed to get this done. It has all the trappings of a cosmic lesson on Hubris.

It just feels like they are meant to be as lost as the wreck they were visiting.

I thought the very same thing, WEF red flag all over this, thats why they won't allow outside help! a reply to: TheLyingCat

Oh jeez..for what purpose???

SMGDH

Might want to look into the arguments that the WEF board member was having with Schwab and was set to possibly surpass him as wef chairman next fall

Everything about this sub was done on the cheap. Any kind of system like that was probably deemed too expensive.

Don’t know how real this is but a story on the Gateway Pundit claims to have a Tweet from someone that has a recording of the banging sounds.

The Tweet is at the link……

I'm not sure why all the attention to this story. I would be more concerned if someone on the sub had the goods on Hillary or Joe Brandon. Then it WOULD be a story. A few billionaires got the Darwin award, congrats. Just a shame that there wasn't a Soros or Rockefeller on board

Can we have another sub go looking for them, maybe Soros, Gates, Rothschild, and the rest of the 1% would like to join in the mission...

I've heard it described as a cylinder with a joystick.

The toilet situation must be pretty dire too.

It’s probably pretty cold and dark in there and their sanity is probably on a downward spiral, probably one of those just go man situations

TextThey have less than a day of predicted breathing air left. The water is 31 degrees Fahrenheit at the Titanic depth. They have on regular clothing. It had electric heat but how long did that last?

Could anyone survive days in a freezer without proper clothing?

Not looking good at all.
Apollo 13 - once crew powered down , the temperature fell to that of a refrigerator Also the air became toxic as CO2 built up forcing crew to build a jury rig scrubber out of plastic bags and tape to use the smaller LEM filters

Then is case of SOYUZ 23 which after returning from space crashed into shallow Lake Tengiz The craft was partially submerged and the hatch submerged as was the fresh air inlet - it took all night for the Soviets to drag the capsule onto shore They assumed the 2 passengers, Vyacheslav Zudov and Valery Rozhdestvensky had both suffocated and froze to death in the submerged capsule

When hatch was open the 2 cosmonauts were still ALIVE !!

Apollo 13 had ground support giving them helpful instructions and two of them had full spacesuits for insulation.

Soyuz 23 had enough life support to last long enough to be rescued.

Yes, there could be a miracle. There have been cases of people that have survived when they were in a situation where it was presumed to be unsurvivable.

All hope is not lost yet, but it is running out.

Soyuz 23 only had limited air supply once it cut loose from the service module , enough to cover re-entry and landing There was an air inlet valve to admit fresh air and equalize internal and external pressure on landing

When the capsule was submerged the entry hatch and air inlet were both underwater It took hours for the capsule to be dragged by its parachutes to the shore by helicopters as was too heavy to lift In mean time the CO2 levels rose to toxic levels as the air scrubbers were not supposed to last that long

Soviets did not have proper equipment on scene to handle unexpected situations

On Apollo 13 wearing their suits would have meant that moisture would be trapped inside and the astronauts would have been wet with sweat, taking off the suits would expose them to hyperthermia as dried out

Actually the "astronaut" and outer space comparisons have been notable in the narratives over the hours.

I think the constant irony being, it's easier to rescue persons from space than the depths of the ocean.

At least our limited sphere of space until now.

But then again people don't generally actually end up in space with a construction pipe and cling-wrap.

With the ocean it's pretty easy - plonk and there you go.

The number of uninformed, hate-filled little communist dirtbags celebrating the (presumed) deaths of these people because they're rich is disgusting. And they think they're compassionate and tolerant.

You are among the most narrow-minded, ignorant people on Earth.

sad to say but maybe there never really could have been a rescue mission. they are so far down, so very, very far down.

Still a bit murky about this company and operation.

Had they done this sight-seeing trip before, or was this the maiden voyage?

yes, they've made two dives on titanic once in 22021 and 2022. i read somewhere they have made several dives but those were other locations at much sallower depths.

They lost contact with the submersible an hour and 45 minutes into the dive.
A lot of people have said if they would have contacted authorities at that point, they would have had an extra 7-8 hours of search time because they were supposed to be down there for 8 hours.

Apparently they have lost contact with this thing on previous dives but it always surfaced at the scheduled time, so I guess they were not too worried about losing contact.

It didn’t come up at the scheduled time and they contacted authorities about 30 minutes later.

If all the proper equipment was in the correct search area maybe within 24 hours, they might have had time to find this thing before the oxygen ran out.

It might be intact sitting on the bottom and that might be the source of the sounds they are hearing.
Or it might have had an catastrophic implosion, either way it’s gonna be tough to find out what happened.

But then who knows what's really going on beneath the waves.

Maybe it's North Korea, rust-bucket pirate u-boats, or aliens?

Not to mention, the Orcas are on the war-path.
