Also guns kill people....being gay does not.
Clearly you are ok with this type of whataboutism. And from what you said it seems like you would be OK with a 4yo handling any firearm?
With that type of think I don't believe I want you to have kids or a gun.

You know damn well it's not the same. One uses firearms for self-defense purposes, the other to main and kill. Which is which?

I get the point you are trying to convey...

Apparently not...

It was satire... a sarcastic whataboutism with respect to how kids as young as 4 can supposedly be trusted with major medical decisions that can render them permanently impotent and/or sterile, or even worse, physically mutilated for life. If they can be trusted with decisions like those, why not guns too?

Dismissing the reality some parents fully expect their kids to be trained with weapons by 10 years old, not most but many

Pops bought me my first rifle 'marlin 22' when I was 7. If you are responsible and teach your children young they won't grow up to be dangerous psychopaths

That is kinda a dumb question IMHO.
I'm not concerned about kids shooting people with the gay.
Bullets are a pressing issue though.
Now suppression onto those that are gay and also training them how use a firearm is a bad mixture.
So.....let that sink in.

Wow, you really don't get any of this, do you. The Trans craze is taking root. parents are pushing kids to follow their own truth, and the result is a kid who felt he wasn't getting enough attention finds that to get into the "transitioning" thing, brings all kinds of attention. Now that is what it is, piss poor parenting. But the part where people are fighting for the right of those same kids to be able to transition on their own. And medical outlets are allowing this. That is where the problem lies.

It has nothing to do with the gay.

If a small child thinks he/she is wrong and needs to be the opposite sex, long before they need surgery, they need counseling, they need to understand all the aspects of this, and they are just too young to do that. We have adults, over 18 who transitioned and then changed their minds later.

My OP was massive sarcasm, I clarified my position a bit later. I just think everyone needs to be on the same page in that children just cannot make life altering decisions, until they become adults, and the medical community should stand behind that.

If a 7 year old kid can "gender affirming care" without a parent's permission (or even with it) then something is wrong. In the same way that a 7 year old cannot go to the gun store and buy an AR-15. None of this has to do with the gay, what even is that?

I had access to an armory of guns at the age of 13. Before that I had a few firearms I was allowed to use that were mine. My folks kept them with the rest of the family's firearms but if I wanted to go shoot I could ask and get one. It was never any issue. You know why? ...because I was taught gun safety as early as I can remember...like 8 years old. I can remember times as a young kid that I found things like my grandpas car gun, a revolver, under the seat of the car when I was the only one in the car. Guess what...I pulled it out and looked at it...never fingering the trigger. Then placed it back under the seat and let it be. In a family of hunters I was shown and drilled very youmg that mistakes with a gun are permanent and that every step of the way multiple rules would ensure that now mistakes would happen that would cause such permanent harm. I am 37 not some old timer...this was on the 90s.

Point being if people are educated and shown the way we would have less issues. However I can also accept that a failure in parenting of the last if not last 2 generations has left us with a portion of our population lacking the responsibility and mental faculties to make good judgements regarding firearms. However the more firearms in the hands of good people the safer we all are from those with bad intentions.

Franklin once said "An armed society is a polite society" I think that's still rings true...if we actually let it.

I take it you are infering that American kids use guns for self defense, which 1st world nation has the largest number of gun deaths per year again?

On gun violence, the United States is an outlier

i myself think both ideas are stupid, kids should not be brought up to think guns are a resolution to a problem

but you think American kids with guns is ok but muslims with guns is bad

who is showing signs of hypocrisy out of all this

its better than being a hypocrite like some others in this thread

not sure if you agree with that members assessment, perhaps you are being serious or is it just a massive whataboutism?

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Apparently not everyone read the whole thread. The above link is my opinion once the sarcasm go the point across.
And now that I explained all that, nobody seems to want to defend the child's right to mutilate themselves. Why is that? You have an opinion on the trans fad don't you?

I'd be interested in discussing this graph in an adult conversation. Let me know if that can happen.

Beware with these "non-lethal" weapons:

You shot two bullets through the glass!
Who me?
Yeah, now you must replace it.

No such thing as weapons without consequences.

On the other hand, being totally defenseless these days is also not a good option.

This is fun. I feel like it's more a thread identifying who doesn't read the thread before posting emotionally more than anything.

Personally, i agree with the point of your analogy here. If they can make permanent decisions about their own body before the age of reason, then why not guns? Although I'm way more supportive of child gun ownership with parental involvement than child mutilation with parental involvement.

Should we ban the gays?

They can take the mud pit out of the forum, but they can’t take the mud pit out of the member.

This thread is blatant low ball political trolling… just sayin.
