There should be no age limit on owning an AR-15

As soon as you are old enough to reach the trigger, you should be able to own one. There are many of them out there, and they don't do bad things on their own. Kids have good judgement and logical thinking minds, really no different than an adult. Knowing that, putting restrictions on kids for a right just seems wrong.

By the time they reach 18, they have lost so much time they could have been training with that weapon system, and becoming proficient. it's just not fair to the children.

I'm all for gun rights but you're just being stupid. I assume it's on purpose to make a point but I'm not getting it.

Yeah, give them killing tools. So when they do something wrong or stupid, you tell them off and they spit the dummy out and ,Whoops< no mummy or daddy. And If you haven't seen a kid throwing a real tantrum them you live in a cocoon.

So do I win a prize for interpreting where your heading with this as its a Bud Lite Moment?

Lets weaponize the Transgender army so they can hunt down all natural born females and waste them? Or, if they cant get a date or other we shall return to aka "shot gun weddings" Hell, even our president has their back as he desecrated the USA flag with their flag last week.

Not all those transitioning are pretty and they end up looking like a train wreck just like that "dude" in Bidens administration. Miss WOOF WOOF

How about some common sense, and parental responsibility? I know, lost arts.

I learned to shoot at 10 or so. Always with supervision (except the BB gun, Learn the hard way with those)
And the guns were locked up when not supervised.

And the big one:

We were actually threatened with physical violence for not listening to the rules.

And yet I survived. Oh the horror.

I had a 22 rifle at 12 and went hunting. Nothing wrong with that back then.

LOL, not in clown world I'm afraid. that's why drastic measures need to be taken. The AR platform is perfect. The stock can be adjustable, so even the 5-6 year olds can shoulder the weapon, and with the gas charging system, the recoil is very light. Really the only thing they need to be really safe is good ear protection. (got to save those young ears)

Kids can make irrevocable decisions regarding their identity and fertility; I'm sure the progressives will be on board!

Oh my, ding, ding we have a winner!

Yes, I was trying to equivocate the idea that if a child can make life changing decisions at an age prior to being old enough to own an AR-15, then perhaps the right to bear arms is being restricted too much. If we all feel that children aren't mentally capable of making life altering decisions, then perhaps there is a good reason for laws that restrict children from dangerous things.

Because you figured out the point first, you get the grand prize. A used trophy and a warm beer.
Enjoy both with confidence, you earned it.

Why is it stupid? His post made more sense than your response.

Come correct. At least give a reason so we can poke at your reasoning like you did with the OP.

Yet there was still validity in your OP. It's a solid point.

Thank you, thank you! I wouldn't be here w/o the support of my family, my government, and God.
I knew my advanced linguistic studies on the etymology of Sarcasm would pay off one day.

The trophy will go next to all the participation trophies I've earned and collect dust, and the warm beer (hope it's a Bud Light) can help keep slugs out of my garden.

I believe kids who are interested, should be given opportunity to learn firearm safety, and enjoy shooting and becoming proficient. But just as kids aren't really capable of making decisions that will affect the rest of their lives, the responsibility of owning, securing, and using a firearm should be supervised by a responsible adult. (IMHO)

You beat me to it!

If we can trust 5 year olds to make life altering gender decisions based on whatever transient info they were provided at the time we should trust them to make all the other adult decisions too. But we don't because that would be incredibly stupid. So why do gender issues get a free pass? It makes no sense - just like the gender issues themselves.

Disappointing really..sorry but if this is your opinion...I won't touch your threads again..

Ever seen a 10 yr old with their face blown off? No? I can arrange a ride w P.D./F.D....or we can see the baby cadavers in the holding morgue at U of M- Level B2...n see the ones shot,

I've legally carried 50 yrs next yr since '74... And even 21 many times isn't old enuff ....for many things.

LOL, I found a bud light that had fell out of the fridge and rolled behind the safe while cleaning up the other day. I'll see if I can find it and get it sent out along with the participation trophy promised.
