Yes and at 18 they are suddenly old enough to fight and die in war

Yea, I get it. I think that if you make the decision to join the military, you should have all the rights at that time, you signed up knowing you could be giving your life. But I don't think there is an age limit for dying in a war. Most wars are indiscriminate killers, and most/all wars are stupid and only destroy. Once enough destruction has happened, suddenly diplomacy sound like a valid choice.
Wasn't angry at you btw, I agree with you. Fighting in a war should aways be voluntarily as their is the risk of death/injury, I was just angry at the hypocrisy .

I don't know, my "adults" taught me firearm safety and bought me a .22 at 12yrs for Xmas.

My GF and I both have ccw permits and carry Glocks.

I also had fire arms when I was young, when in HS I helped create the school gun club, we used to go to the shooting range every Wednesday.
My shop teacher was a vet and had a great collection of both guns and knowledge. Ill never forget the first time I "tried" to shoot a M4 carbine, I was 15, couldn't swing a hammer right for a week after.

Times have changed since then

they should not vote too early, they should not be educated too early about their body and sexuality, they should not learn about the dark shadows of the past but they should be able to handle a potentially lethal weapon as early as possible. your reality is called parallel universe and has nothing to do with reason and child protection.

And if you can drive at 10 yrs old....you should be able? Ridiculous. Especially for you.....Legal age for marriage, legal age to vote..etc.....AK'S no? You sir are seriously misinformed and maladjusted...

Disappointing really..sorry but if this is your opinion...I won't touch your threads again..

Ever seen a 10 yr old with their face blown off? No? I can arrange a ride w P.D./F.D....or we can see the baby cadavers in the holding morgue at U of M- Level B2...n see the ones shot,

I've legally carried 50 yrs next yr since '74... And even 21 many times isn't old enuff ....for many things.

Wow you out-karened Karen Carpenter. Right to faceless babies, and “never look at your threads again !” Slurping the Karen-cool-aid firehose style !

Why would anybody have an issue ?
This is how they live and nobody is going to change them.
They’ll be sending little guys like this with bombs / as bombs for the foreseeable future.
Doesn’t matter what any of us thinks about it.

By the time they reach 18, they have lost so much time they could have been training with that weapon system, and becoming proficient. it's just not fair to the children.

Oh mate what do you think First Person Shooter Video games are for like ' Call of Duty ' .

These shooter games are wildly realistic.

Is this an attempt at a little sarcastic humor? Have you examined the shootings and homicide rates in various metropolitan cities around the nation lately? Most of it is from juvenile or adolescent gang bangers.

But then again, it doesn't matter if it's legal or not. They don't care for no stinkin laws.

Give them a few beers and a pack of smokes too right? Not sure if this post is satire or not.

I think this is where we need to change things. I'm for responsible gun ownership and training. And IMHO. Gun ownership should be for adults. With ownership age at 21. Gun use for those under 21 should be under the supervision of an adult.

In a wonderfully stable society owning a gun wouldn't be a problem because no one would shoot anyone. In a terribly unstable society owning a gun shouldn't be a problem because everyone is shooting everyone and people need to protect themselves.

Looks like guns are staying.

By the terms you used “they” and “them” you mean gun owners…right?

It seems you fear the child in this image but not the children described by op, are you pre judging one child as dangerous but not another ? Sounds a bit minority report

The citizens of Chicago, Portland, Seattle and Los Angeles would feel so safe if kids are running around neighborhoods with AR-15....

I get the point you are trying to convey......but man you could have picked a much better way instead of this.
A child should atleast learn the dynamics of how to operate a firearm and taught safety yes.
But my God this is one hell of a misguided way to get your point across.
With the rise of school shootings, you propose more guns accessible to children......ughhh lol

As soon as you are old enough to reach the trigger, you should be able to own one. There are many of them out there, and they don't do bad things on their own. Kids have good judgement and logical thinking minds, really no different than an adult. Knowing that, putting restrictions on kids for a right just seems wrong.

By the time they reach 18, they have lost so much time they could have been training with that weapon system, and becoming proficient. it's just not fair to the children.

1. Mandatory gun safety in public schools for ages 12 and up

2. Reinstate the draft, not because foreign policy or nato agenda but because every military graduate will have exponentially more career prospects and respect for the constitution and civic values

3. Arm school faculty, if you aren't qualified to hold a weapon you aren't qualified to instruct or protect my kids when shtf

4. End qualified immunity

Just the OP's original statement must be in question....
Own and use are very different. I own many different AR platform firearms. My children use them under my supervision.

Trust me. They will get plenty of trigger time by their 18th.

Apparently not...

It was satire... a sarcastic whataboutism with respect to how kids as young as 4 can supposedly be trusted with major medical decisions that can render them permanently impotent and/or sterile, or even worse, physically mutilated for life. If they can be trusted with decisions like those, why not guns too?

Let them learn the ways of the sword. It's a beautiful art.

And if a young boy decides he wants to transition, well it's two birds with one stone.

That is kinda a dumb question IMHO.
I'm not concerned about kids shooting people with the gay.
Bullets are a pressing issue though.
Now suppression onto those that are gay and also training them how use a firearm is a bad mixture.
So.....let that sink in.
