Ripple Teams Up With Research and Development Firm To Run CBDC and Crypto Experiments

Ripple Labs is teaming up with a Northern Europe-based research and development firm to run experiments centered on crypto assets and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

In a new company blog post, Ripple says it will be collaborating with SUPER HOW?, private blockchain technology research lab based in Latvia to work on the Axiology project, a tokenized securities and settlements infrastructure built on top of the XRP Ledger.

According to Ripple, the point of the partnership is so that regulators can test the security and safety of crypto assets.

Futureverse Raises $54 Million From 10T, Ripple Labs for Metaverse Push

Crypto tech and gaming startup Futureverse has raised $54 million in Series A funding to further its metaverse aims, in a round led by venture capital firm 10T Holdings with XRP Ledger creator Ripple Labs also participating.

Futureverse said in a statement that it will use the funds for research and development, as well as to further its gaming-focused blockchain called The Root Network, which is Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible and offers an XRP Ledger integration. Root Network supports the use of XRP and its NFTs. The company also has plans to develop more blockchain games in the future.

In December, the company announced that it had acquired eight different crypto companies and merged them under the Futureverse brand, with the goal of creating what it calls an “open metaverse.” Those companies included AI technology firm Altered State Machine and Fluf World NFT project creator Non Fungible Labs.

Futureverse has developed an immersive and vertically-integrated metaverse platform that acts as an AI technology provider, metaverse infrastructure builder, layer-1 architect, creative studio, and digital community all in one,” said 10T CEO and Chief Investment Officer Dan Tapiero, in a statement.

San Francisco Fed Hiring Crypto Architect for CBDC Project

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco stated, “We are looking for a Lead Application Developer to implement example systems related to a CBDC. You will engage directly with management, other developers on the team, development operations teams, and vendors to ensure the Federal Reserve is well-positioned to design, develop, and implement technology to support a CBDC as may be required by the Board of Governors.”

Previously, on February 18, the San Francisco Fed opened three job posts recruiting Software Developers for CBDC, including a Senior Application Developer, Lead Application Developer, and Senior Application Architect for centralized digital currency.

Computer chip with built-in human brain tissue gets military funding

Last year, Monash University scientists created the "DishBrain" – a semi-biological computer chip with some 800,000 human and mouse brain cells lab-grown into its electrodes. Demonstrating something like sentience, it learned to play Pong within five minutes.

The micro-electrode array at the heart of the DishBrain was capable both of reading activity in the brain cells, and stimulating them with electrical signals, so the research team set up a version of Pong where the brain cells were fed a moving electrical stimulus to represent which side of the "screen" the ball was on, and how far away from the paddle it was. They allowed the brain cells to act on the paddle, moving it left and right.

It was the first time lab-grown brain cells had been used this way, being given not only a way to sense the world, but to act on it, and the results were impressive.

So I was on my neighborhood walk the other day and was just taking in nature and noticing how some trees were larger than others. Which led me to think about how our other property 30 miles away has entirely different tree structure.

This then pivoted to thinking about how different regions are impacted by various climate and other growing conditions, which led to CO2
We are at nearly historically low CO2 levels, and we hear a consistent climate change panic/rhetoric from the powers that be.
Plants thrive with increased CO2, plants grow larger in increased CO2 environments. There is mythology of giants, the dinosaurs were huge, there’s the conspiracies about plateaus being ancient giant tree stumps etc.

What if they’re trying anything to keep the CO2 below a certain threshold because at some point it may become suitable for other larger species to thrive on the surface…again?

Temperatures were hotter back then too. But something that keeps getting overlook, is the fact that a mid-sized volcano does more damage pollution wise than humans can ever do. Look at the greenhouse gases that got released from the La Palma volcano last year, or dare I bring up all the stuff that got blown up into the atmosphere when Tonga exploded. Thos two volcanos alone will have effects for decades on the climate, and this isn't even discussing Ice Land.

Here in Washington State we are under severe drought conditions, yet over the winter we had 200% snow pact in most areas. The news was saying that temperatures all over the country are going crazy. It was 100+ in places like Dallas Tx, Death Vally, Phoenix Az, but forget to state the average temperatures for these same regions for summer.

It's about keep up the "Strategy of Tension".

Let that sink in. It's not the climate that is changing they fear, it's the maturing philosophy of the public that terrifies them.

Worth remembering that Richard Branson owns Necker island which is about 25 miles away from Epstein's island!

My understanding is that Epstein dealt with the "working" class that needed blackmailing... and Branson deals with supplying the needs of the royals.

Worth remembering also that Branson made his first fortune, aged 22, with his music label VIRGIN records... Maybe he was schooled from childhood for this role? His father was a barrister; so a Queen's Counsel... and his grandfather was a High Court Judge and Privy Counsellor (ie advised the Queen)!!! (Wiki).

It would make sense if both islands shared their "supplies" and supply routes?

ETA - I note that Queen Elizabeth's sister, Princess Margaret, lived on the island of Mustique... about 300km from Epstein and Branson's islands - midway between them and South America.

Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez, a Democratic candidate for sheriff in the 2024 election, was recovering after surgery at a Tampa hospital, according to an internal Miami-Dade Police email and multiple law enforcement sources.

What was so troubling that he reacted in this way?

The gunshot happened not long after Ramirez had been involved in what was described as a heated argument with his wife Jody at a Tampa hotel and was asked to leave by hotel staff, the sheriff’s office and other sources said.

Tampa Police, in a statement, said officers had been called to the Marriott Waterside where the couple were staying because of a report about a man pointing a gun at himself outside the hotel, where a Florida Sheriffs Association conference was being held. They said by the time officers arrived, Ramirez and his wife were back in their 12th floor room and denied he had displayed a weapon or that he intended to harm himself or anyone else.

Though this has to be the most telling part of the story:

Multiple sources said after the incident at the hotel but before the shooting, Ramirez had contacted Levine Cava to discuss what happened. The director also reached out to Christian Ulvert, the campaign manager he shares with Levine Cava in the 2024 election cycle. Sources familiar with the conversations said Ramirez discussed how he would address what was likely to be an embarrassing situation as he embarked on a quest to become an elected senior member of the Levine Cava administration.

Could this be a precursor to the DNC's '24 campaign cycle, or a prelude to that suicide weekend?
