The Reserve Bank of India urged lenders to ask clients to settle transactions in the rupee or dirham when trading with the United Arab Emirates, instead of the US dollar, sources told Reuters.
The central bank hopes to stem India's outflow of greenbacks and help promote the rupee internationally, according to the report.
The request from the central bank comes as India and the UAE have set themselves on a de-dollarization path.
The two countries signed a non-dollar trade agreement in July. And earlier this month, India purchased 1 million barrels of oil from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company using rupees.
The development bank founded by the so-called BRICS countries is planning to issue its first Indian rupee bond by October, its chief operating officer said on Monday, as the lender comes under pressure to raise and lend more in local currencies.
The New Development Bank (NDB) issued its first rand bond in South Africa last week and could consider local currency issuance in members Brazil, Russia and United Arab Emirates, Vladimir Kazbekov told a press briefing ahead of the BRICS Summit in Johannesburg on Aug. 22-24.
NDB, the development bank created by the BRICS member states (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), has issued its first ZAR bonds worth 1.5 billion rand (nearly $78 million), the institution said in an announcement published Wednesday and quoted by media.
The auction comes as the bank finds itself under pressure to boost its local currency fundraising and lending, Reuters noted in a report. According to Russia’s Tass news agency, this is NDB’s first issue of bonds in local currency outside China, where it’s based.
Think about the fact that our military, our Department of Defense, SPACE FORCE...
if you think that they don’t have the actual real results from the election, then you’re fooling yourself....
Jan Halper-Hayes, who is on a Defense Department task force, talks about Trump's subpoena power and EO 13848.
The Department of Defense and Trump have everything in place for the 2020 election.
The United States is a BANKING CORPORATION.
“They made a HUGE mistake... Because even though they thought they were going to prosecute him for treason or sedition, they charged him criminally, but they didn't go that far. As a result, he has due process which allows him to sue in judgment people and to take things to court.
Let me say something about the 2020 election. Biden is the legitimate president, but he is a legitimate president of what is now the CORPORATION BANKRUPT of the United States.
This was the SA treaty of 1871. On September 12, 2018, Trump created an executive order. Within that, he outlined in any future election, any kind of foreign or domestic interference, specifically for the 2020 election. (The executive order is 13848, the one that Joe Biden keeps renewing).
How did he know that some of these things would happen? What he did was open the door for Trump to present his case. It's a big mistake of Jack Smith to do that.
Think of Edward Snowden and all the information he had. Think about the fact that our military, our Department of Defense, the SPACE FORCE...if you think they don't have the actual election results, then you are fooling yourself....>>.
He goes on to talk about the documentary "2000 Mules" and the 60 court cases that the media lied about and were dismissed: "There were 3...he won 2 and lost 1, 57 were never heard because they weren't standing.Legal standing means that the person who brought the suit must claim some kind of impact or prejudice.
I'm on a Defense Department task force and they have the goods. And Trump knew that if he presented the evidence of the products beforehand, we would have a civil war and he felt that people should see how bad it could get.”
Trump just reiterated that the Space Force really does have it all and that we are only addressing this situation because Trump didn't want a civil war to break out before people were ready.
Trump literally recited exactly what Jan Halper said when she said that Trump had everything and should wait to reveal it because otherwise there would have been a civil war. If you read Q's Drops, Q shares exactly the same sentiment. For many of us it became clear that this was the only way, the way with the least suffering for the people. Yes, it was a challenge for those of us who are awake. But with pain come spiritual growth and humility. We are watching a movie, which is called "The Fall of Babylon".
Dr. Jan Halper-Hayes is fantastic. Everyone has got to watch her interview on election fraud with the poor sap who got taken apart by her. Thank you Don Jr. for putting this masterpiece out for the public to see. WITCH HUNT!

Global sea level has been rising over the past century, and the rate has increased in recent decades. In 2014, global sea level was 2.6 inches 67 mm above the 1993 average—the highest annual average in the satellite record (1993-present). Sea level continues to rise at a rate of about one-eighth of an inch 3.2 mm per year.
California is expanding the availability of its mDL (mobile driver’s license) with a new app for mobile phones featuring face biometrics and liveness detection. To access the digital ID users can download the CA DMV Wallet app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. However, they won’t be able to add the mDL to native device mobile wallets such as those from Apple or Google, The Verge reveals.
California’s DMV started testing the mobile app with iProov’s biometrics and liveness detection at the beginning of August. The agency promises that the app “does not permanently store your personal data,” but it does keep your phone number and an “encrypted photo of your DL/ID card.”
Other states such as Iowa and Michigan are also taking steps towards offering mDL, meaning that they may soon be joining Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Hawaii, Ohio, Utah, and Maryland.
Banks and other financial institutions across the globe have been adopting biometrics as a way to improve the customer experience and increase security against identity fraud, such as money laundering or account takeovers.
As an emerging technology, fingerprint biometrics can also help to build the brand of organizations that adopt them. The use of advanced technology creates confidence in many customers and demonstrates the bank is not stuck in the past.
Move over, fake IDs: Biometric systems that can "read" a person's face or palm image and determine if they're too young for a beer are gaining traction at sports stadiums and liquor shops.
Legislative proposals in New York and Washington state would let bars, restaurants and other purveyors of adult products verify a customer's age through biometric data — like a finger or palm image, or a retinal or face scan.
The New York bill would require all biometric data to be encrypted and prohibit businesses from selling it to third parties.
“This is the new frontier of age verification,” state Sen. and bill sponsor James Skoufis told the New York Post. “It does advance the interests of convenience.”
At the same time, biometric ID systems — sold by Amazon, Microsoft, CLEAR and many smaller vendors — are rolling out in real-world locations.
At the Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant Stadium, football fans who are enrolled in CLEAR's ID system — the same one used at airport security lines — can order booze from their seats using face recognition on their phone.
Fans of the NHL's San Jose Sharks can also use the system at SAP Center.
A brewery at Coors Field in Denver — home of baseball's Colorado Rockies — recently started letting customers wave their palm over a scanner to verify their age instead of handing over a physical ID.
Those customers must be enrolled in Amazon One's system — the same one shoppers use to pay with their palms at Whole Foods. They can also enroll on the spot.
Despite public qualms, biometric recognition is expanding in myriad ways — including age verification and beyond.
The US on Monday urged its citizens to leave Belarus “immediately” as Lithuania shut down two of six border crossings with the country amid growing tensions in the region.
“Do not travel to Belarus due to Belarusian authorities’ continued facilitation of Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine, the buildup of Russian military forces in Belarus, the arbitrary enforcement of local laws, the potential of civil unrest, the risk of detention, and the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens residing in or traveling to Belarus,” said a statement by the US Embassy in Minsk.
It urged US citizens in Belarus to leave the country, using border crossings with Lithuania and Latvia, or by plane.
Poland’s President Andrzej Duda confirmed Tuesday that Russia has begun shifting some short-range nuclear weapons to neighboring Belarus, a move that he said will change the security architecture of the region and the entire NATO military alliance.
