It's OK.

I'm only married to a duel microbiologist/biologist who works making vaccines and with dangerous viruses for a living, but he can't tell me if I'm a woman or understand any of the research about COVID or how those vaccines work at all, not even when such things have been his career for 20+ years.

Pretty sure if you and he had the right opinions, er, "followed the science" you'd both be acknowledged and wise experts though.
