I'm not trying to change your mind. I'm trying to correct you in the words you use because you clearly have an agenda here. Accidentally using the term "assault" vs "abuse" is a way of lieing. I provided the difference of the two words under the law and why they are not interchangeable.

The jury made the right choice, if the defendant doesn't show up, the only testimony is from the plaintiff and since this was a civil case, there was no other option but to believe the plaintiff. It's he said she said and he didn't show up to say anything.
