I already posted that you change laws for a massive crime, not for one political enemy.

Trump was not in court down to his politics through now, was he, and nether was Al Capone.

This win against Trump doesn’t qualify as redefining the law. It’s a one-off, with a few appeals to go.

I'm sure time will tell on that score.

Then again how many indictments are still to come or has he yet to answer for?

Coz its more than one at last count and they are not of the civil sorts nether far as im led to believe.

Just doesn't make much sense to me.

Serious crimes, such as murder, don't have a statute of limitations. You can be charged with murder 50 years after the fact, if new technology brings up new evidence that can be used in court.

Rape had, and still has, a much shorter statute of limitations, but many states are now extending that and opening it up for past crimes. Carroll filed under the New York State Adult Survivors Act passed recently that extends that window and allows the victims to come forward for past crimes.

"The Jury of his peers" yes, trump haters, found he was NOT LIABLE for damages related to RAPE, NOT, but for saying he didn't rape her publicly. For the love of god, read the verdict. He was more or less found liable for mean tweets.

So, to your point if you followed logic. If she was in fact raped, she wasn't, she can bring a criminal case using something more than memory for her entire life. If the accused his found guilty using something more than memory, she can then sue for civil damages. She didn't do that for a reason.

Please, be familiar with Civil, Criminal, Damages, Jury, Legal Proceedings, Defamation, Appeals Court, and the law before spouting bizarre talking points so rooted in ignorance they defy even the most basic logic related to our dying system. God help you from every being caught in this net, or maybe it might change your POV if you were.

Bottom line. It isn't a win for the TDS folks, and will be memory holed next week because the word "Rape" wasn't included in the judgment and the case will be thrown out on appeal and she's gone by fall. It failed.
