I do recall the level of insanity when no one listened to the Dixie Chicks over what they said as well. It wasn't us complaining over all that no listening and crying about how unfair to the Dixie Chicks it was.

The other answer for you is to be the change you want to see.

You don't want to see all the crap and want UFOs, bigfoot, etc.?

Do you own posting and start your own threads. Make them good and other people as fed up as you will come there and boost them.

Trim the threads that burden your biased little heart so that you don't have to be hurt by seeing that not everyone thinks the same as you, and you have nothing in the end because if you aren't starting stuff, no one else will be either. The people starting the threads are the ones starting the stuff you don't like.

Think about it. You want different stuff? Start it. Be the change instead of bitching about it.

I am curious why disagreeing with you on 2nd Amendment issues makes people "militia types"?

I don't even own a gun, but I do fiercely believe I should have that right and without Big Brother hanging over my shoulder too.

Certainly not more moderation. Silencing people is not the way. People, I believe, are here to socialize with people of their own ilk and the only way I can see is to, what another member said early on in this thread, is use the scroll button and don't participate in threads, that we all know, will be heading down that same road. Any way, that's what I will do from hereon in, avoid the usual threads by the usual suspects.

I agree with you (aside from "bigfoot and wizards"). We need to change the frequency! We're trying to figure out what to do about the political stuff. There are some classy people who post there but others who just start fights. You know.. I wonder if I can turn replies off on certain forums? Hmmm.... that might be a happy medium.
