It's always the ones paying the bills Advertisers, owners, or the community if it's a members community. We were just talking about putting up a paywall and that way the community pays the bills, so the community has a stake in the website. In fact, with a paywall, the pit and unmoderated forums would be no issue what so ever for us because it wouldn't misrepresent ATS.

Forgive me Darko but this really concerns me. In another thread, you said that ATS was different and didn't let advertisers dictate content. Now you say they pay the bills in a thread where we are discussing content. Are you saying you can be influenced by advertisers to stop certain topics from being discussed?

As for paid membership, I'm all for it and willing to pay a reasonable annual fee. In fact, maybe you can build a few tiers with a "mud pit" available at the highest level. But if that's the direction you take, you'll have to stop acting on complaints from members who want you to do something to suppress topics they find offensive. The simple rule that any ATS reader can apply is, don't read what offends you! Try to live a happy life. Live and let live and all that. If one tries to make everyone believe what they do, they will live a miserable existence.

I am curious as to exactly what "newer science" you are referring to. If it has anything to do with a man suddenly becoming a woman because he put on a dress, then no, I do not accept that so-called science. It is nothing but some arbitrary nonsense meant to appease a select group and ignore factual investigative science, including psychology and medicine.

What I really want to know is where are the feminists? Men are being named Woman of the Year. Men are taking titles and setting records in women's sports. One of the highest ranking so-called women in government is a man in a dress. Men supplanting women and taking their awards and fame is something feminists should be raging about. Emma Watson started "He for She", not "He Becomes She".

I may be wrong, but from what I can piece together, all this "new science" stuff stems from an ARTICLE in the "books and arts" section of Nature's website.
In this article, a feminist scientist did an analysis (not an actual study) of previous studies on the male and female brain.
She then wrote a book on her analysis, trying to debunk the studies.
It was an advertisement for a book.
She even admitted in the book, there are differences in the male and female brain.
Those that linked to the article, as "evidence", never took the time to check it out.
They ran with it because they thought it added validity to their nonsense.
