Puzzling quadruple murder in Idaho

I have a question for people local to the area - During the news conference the Sheriff spent about five minutes going over each of the victim's pronouns which were the standard she/he. Was he just trying to be PC? I've never seen that before at a news conference?

The food truck sells specialty macaroni and cheese and tacos, the girls ordered 1 order of Mac and cheese for both of them apparently.

I have seen their live streams on Twitch long before the murders happened and after I saw that they were on camera at the truck, I went and watched the recorded video which they keep on their page.

Who's the guy in the white hoodie with the baseball cap on?

If it's the same two girls, Blonde, One with the knees out of her jeans and the other with a short pink top? then the white hoodie guy turns up at the same time as the girls. Keeps an eye on them and leaves when they leave. He doesn't buy anything. They don't appear to be together. He leaves in an opposite direction but he certainly shows an interest in those girls.

He caught me eye when I watched the video too.
The police apparently cleared that guy, they said they do not believe he was involved.

Do you really believe that one criminal could do all this?? My idea is work the scene with a team of six agents, then work down to four. Maybe even get down to a pair of militiamen. I recall Robert Shapiro saying the Brown-Goldman murders took more than one killer. If either of these crimes took multiple criminals, than all new motives are needed. My bbl son lived a half block down King Street and graduated in 2005. He says the T V on the second floor needed to be turned up to hear it on the c bottom floor!
I made a very generic search online, Moscow murders Quds, and it was hijacked to the tip line at the FBI c field office in Salt Lake City!

I take that to mean the UNSUB used at least two different knives. Which would probably mean the original knife broke during one of the attacks.

Without more info the significance of that fact could go in a number of ways.

It is 'confirmed' that Kaylee's injuries were 'significantly more brutal' than the other victims.

Beyond that - recapping facts and a lot of filler. Nothing new beyond the above confirmation.

Was there toxicology done on the victims/ I'm pretty good with a knife but to kill 4 awake people would be a challenge , some would run others try and fight - These people had to be drugged or passed out . Even if they were asleep killing with a knife is not so quiet as you would think it would have to be a instant death for no noise to be heard .

What people need to remember is in these cases there are planned crimes and crimes of circumstance. Look at the guy who took a 7 year old. A Fed Ex driver. Last person most people would be wary of. Someone who is in your life a lot but unnoticed. This is more semi-planned but there is a gap.

The odd part here. A lot of rage but 2 were left almost as if the person did not 'know' there was a downstairs which would rule out someone who knew about them or the place.

If you look at the property, if you did not know and simply entered from the 'balcony second floor' entrance you are only going up because that would be the only reason to me they were spared. If not they knew the person who did this.

That case about the little girl in Texas is heartbreaking. And the 31-year-old Fed Ex driver? He's a 'new' Dad. Has a tiny baby at home. I don't know why that turns my gut but there it is.

So - new news if you've not heard it? The kid that lived next door to the 4 who were killed? His only alibi? He told the cops he was driving to his parent's cabin located 5 hours from his house - again - next door to the kids who were slaughtered.

That same next-door-neighbor? He was sighted (video) lurking about behind the girls (Madi) with his hoodie up and just being super creepy. Madi turned and it's said told him to '*F* Off*...

Oh yeah, and that same guy that lived next door, had no solid alibi, was creepy stalking? AND had a number of K-Bar (knife) photos on his social media? He fled the country without giving a DNA test...

So - point is? That's super suspicious of course. What it proves? Still nothing more than the perhaps the police let the neighbor 'go' a little to quickly. And how he got out of the country so fast? Wow.

James Curtis Leonard was arrested in Latah County, Idaho - for voyeurism - about a mile from the apartment of the murder scene.

Notice the bandage on his left arm.

Also - notice he's past arrests (listed).


No charges have been filed - yet.

There’s been quite a bit of speculation on the rumor threads about him—audio analysis of the food truck discussion, an odd alibi, anger issues, etc. Nothing confirmed to my knowledge.

The police cleared him early on, but I think they’re interested in interviewing some people again.

The biggest piece of confirmed information is the vehicle description, & they have alerted border crossing points to watch for that make & model.

I live here in Boise and this whole thing has not smelled right from the get go

We have always had issues here in this state with things like this and the local police botching it up, from murders to disappearances to child kidnappings
