Sources in the SBU told Ukrainian outlet Suspilne that the Ukrainian SBU, SOF, and Unmanned Systems Forces struck the crude oil atmospheric distillation columns of the Slavyansk oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai, resulting in a large fire.
Transnistrian outlets claimed on March 17 that a single drone struck a helicopter on the territory of an unspecified military unit in Transnistria, posted video footage of the moment of the drone strike, and alleged that the drone flew from the direction of Odesa Oblast.
The all-Russian pro-Ukrainian Freedom of Russia Legion (LSR) and Siberian Battalion claimed on March 17 that their forces entered the Gorkovsky border settlement in Belgorod Oblast and seized the settlement’s administration building.
A Ukrainian strike campaign has forced the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) to redeploy the majority of its naval assets away from its main base in Sevastopol to smaller and less capable bases in Novorossiysk and elsewhere, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces Center for Strategic Communications (StratCom) reported that Ukrainian strikes have disabled roughly 33 percent of the BSF’s warships as of early February 2024, including 24 ships and one submarine.
Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Avdiivka and Donetsk City.
I thought that was an interesting chart, showing there are more to attack.

This is what Greta Thunberg wanted
Denys said he doesn't believe 87%, but he does think Putin has support of the majority of Russians, maybe 60-70% was his guess, but with no Navalny (who lots of people think was killed) or anti-war candidates on the ballot (who were disqualified due to alleged paperwork anomalies), they didn't have viable alternatives to Putin. Still, you can see a video of ballot boxes being stuffed, and they didn't even try to hide it, so that along with shenanigans for the online voting ensured the 60% or whatever grew to 87%.

Apparently, Putin won his ""election"" with 87% if you can believe that.
11:31
this is polling location 912 in the Novagarod region. The polls closed at 8, and by 8:20 you can see through the window, the poll workers shoving in more ballots into the boxes. The lights are on, the blinds are up, these people aren't even trying to hide it. They're just doing what they're told to do.
So I already know the election results.
I think because it can be argued that the military equipment like tanks, armored personnel carriers, aircraft, etc runs on the refined products coming out of the refineries, so that makes the refineries military targets.

Hitting oil refinerys help , but i think that hitting Russian power grid woud actually cause more trouble to Russia than attacks to oil refinerys. Russians has been attacking Ukrainanian power grid many times , so why not do the same ?
German access to oil had been seriously impaired - and the results were devastating.
The Luftwaffe, Germany’s mighty air force, was grounded. Panzer divisions couldn’t maneuver for fear of using up precious oil. German army units lacked mobility and couldn’t respond quickly when the Allied armies arrived on the shores of Normandy. Lack of fuel crippled the German army.
Yes those are monster sized bombs.

Russia is all set to use 1.5-tonne FAB-1500 bombs against Ukraine, both army and civilians.....that`s insane size boom ....so if Russia is dropping those in to Ukrainians , i would say hit them ,even power grid....
Current Ukrainian fighters are powerless to stop the glide-bombers. Future Ukrainian fighters—F-16s to start with—should be able to strike back.

The F-16s aren't enough to turn the tide of the war, but they should be able to make a dent in Russia's aviation, and thus the aviation bombs. But it seems like it's taking forever for Ukraine to receive the F-16s.
Russia Is Glide-Bombing Ukraine With Impunity. Ukraine’s New F-16s Could Change That.

Putin admitted that the all-Russian pro-Ukrainian volunteer forces are comprised of Russian citizens amid the continuation of cross-border raids into Belgorod Oblast on March 18.
Russian forces recently made a marginal confirmed advance in western Zaporizhia Oblast.
A legion of Russian volunteers fighting for Ukraine has destroyed an arms depot in a Russian border town, the group has said on social media.
The footage, posted by the Freedom of Russia Legion online, shows smoke rising from a warehouse in Tetkino in Russia's Kursk Oblast, next to its border with Ukraine.
A small explosion in the depot then sends dust flying, before a fire breaks out in the building's rafters - seconds later, ammunition apparently stored in the depot explodes, hollowing out the structure as plumes of black smoke billow out.
Posting on social media, the group said they had "destroyed Putin's army ammunition depot in Tetkino" and there was "more to come".
Ukraine hit a key Russian airbase used for nuclear bombers in an overnight kamikaze drone strike as part of a consolidated aerial bombardment of several border regions.
The 'explosions and fire' at the airbase came as pro-Putin sources also accused Kyiv of targeting a nuclear power plant in Kursk region.
Explosions were heard at Engels air base in the Saratov region, home of Vladimir Putin's Tu-160 'Blackjack', Tu-95 'Bear' and Tu-22 strike aircraft, late last night.
All of these planes are capable of carrying nuclear missiles but have been used to strike Ukraine with conventional bombs throughout the past two years of war.
