Those kind of comments are fewer, yet I've watched them surge and subside in this thread before. Time will tell.

Have to say I wonder what Prigo was thinking if he believed a single thread on ATS was so critical to disrupt. There is nothing earth-shaking being discussed here.

Cheers

I miss RT and turretless, good members who have contributed a lot to ATS.

But got to say, a certain Chinese Canadian has been particularly noticeable by his absence recently.
Can't say he's quite as missed as the other two.....but he was/is a good source of light entertainment.

I noticed that as well seems like Prigozhin had his fingers in a lot of pies as they say. Even noticed a drop on other locations as well i guess now that they are unemployed they spend time on the net looking for jobs.

I figure it is just a matter of blanketing as many social media sites as possible with Kremlin talking points. Seems like ATS would warrant one or two 5th columnists.

2 July Update

Ukrainian forces reportedly conducted counteroffensive operations in six sectors of the front on July 2 and made gains in some of these areas. The Russian Ministry of Defense and other Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces conducted offensive operations in the Lyman direction, in the Bakhmut area, along the Avdiivka-Donetsk City front, in western Donetsk Oblast, on the administrative border between Zaporizhia and Donetsk oblasts, and in western Zaporizhia Oblast.

Russian forces conducted another series of drone and missile strikes targeting southern Ukraine and Kyiv on July 2. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces launched 11 missiles and eight Shahed drones at Ukraine, including three Kalibr missiles at Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts.

More at URL above.

Cheers

As always, thanks for the updates.
Have you got any news or comments on the reported alleged withdrawal of Russian troops and technicians etc based in and around Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant?

Hi Freeborn,

Only what I've seen on the ISW website. IIRC, they did not consider a nuclear-incident-provocation likely.

In general, I try to avoid putting the speculative part of their analyses in the daily summaries here.

IMO-- It is something Putin's regime may do, but I think there will be a huge reaction if such takes place. One Chernobyl was enough. A lot depends on what Putin's outlook for survival is; if he feels like his time is near, he could easily order such an action.

ETA, what ISW published on for the 1 July report--

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russians might initiate an intentional radioactive leak at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) as part of a potential Russian strategy to freeze the war. Zelensky stated in an interview with Spanish news outlet El Mundo published on June 30 that Russian forces may attempt to remotely detonate the ZNPP if Ukrainian authorities are able to pass control of the ZNPP to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Zelensky stated that Russian forces may cause a radiological incident to halt maneuver warfare and buy more time for Russia to recruit more personnel and produce more military equipment.

Cheers

Biden is using your Tax Dollars to buy Ukrainian Nazi Hummers

Video footage recorded in Ukraine has gone viral online and shows a Ukrainian military commander hopping into a GMC Hummer outfitted with some of the World War 2-era Nazi insignia commonly sported by Ukrainian fighters and radicals.

This is the latest chapter in a long saga of Ukrainian Nazism.

Your funny this isn't one of the humvees that were sent by the US. This is a privately owned vehicle yes they sell them in Kiev.

Next the symbol on the door was added after the picture was taken look carefully the symbol is lined with the picture and not the vehicle which is at an angle.

If you are here to deny Ignorance, it would be best if you start with your own...

The "Iron Cross" predates the Nazi movement by a Century.
See - War flag of Prussia (1816)

As with literally everything Nazi, the symbols they used, were stolen, aka appropriated from others. The Nazis didn't invent them, they just bastardized them with guilt by association.

Be more thorough before starting proverbial bs, you do a disservice to the people who actually suffered under Nazi Socialist Democracy...

Of course, I was just wondering if there was anything more substantial or reliable other than what I had already read.

Thanks for the info.

Here are more pics of Ukrainians using the same crosses as those painted on Luftwaffe planes and Wehrmacht tanks in the second half of World War II.

I honestly don't know what the point is, of your posting?

That symbol, has been used by almost every major culture, around the world, before the evil Nazi Germans utilized it as an icon.

Do a search;

"The swastika is an ancient religious and cultural symbol, predominantly in various Eurasian, as well as some African and American cultures, now also widely recognized for its appropriation by the Nazi Party and by neo-Nazis.

It continues to be used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It generally takes the form of a cross, the arms of which are of equal length and perpendicular to the adjacent arms, each bent midway at a right angle."

As previously mentioned, the Nazis didn't invent it...they simply tarnished it by guilt through association.

But obviously you missed that part, of my previous commitment, or choose to ignore common sense, all the railing against others for no apparent logical reason.
