Ok, that's a bit unexpected.

You have alien tech.

You refer to humans as puny.

It isn't weird at all.

Your words.

An attempt at a little humor in a frightening situation.

I obviously don't have any alien tech.

Well I understand that the countries that have supported Ukraine would not support that action.

But I'm not to confident of Putin's grasp on reality and don't believe he has anyone with the testicular fortitude to advise him on that reality.
I honestly don't think he expected this invasion to be anything but a cakewalk.

I agree with your assessment.

If I were russia, it wouldn't be Ukraine or NATO that I'd be fearing an invasion from.

I can't see how anyone could disagree with that.

It needs someone to go up to him, put an arm around his shoulders and say " Vlad me auld mucker, you have a good bash at things. Time to go and put your feet up in your Dascha with your mistresses and whatever else you want" and guide him out of the door. Forcibly if necessary.

I suspect its not going to happen anytime soon.....I hope I'm wrong.

Russia can raise two million army plenty of reserves.....

It'd be a bit like us calling up The Boy Scouts, Girls Guides and Boys Brigade and expecting them to fight against regular, trained and efficient Army troops.
Its canon fodder.
Its obscene.
Its desperation.

Totally agree and he'll probably up it to ten million if it means taking out the NATO threat to Ukraine. He's going for broke in that Great Patriotic War kind of way.

I'm far more concerned on a personal basis about Putin's threats to work with the wind patterns when referring to the nuclear threat. Ruskies can alter the cloud concentraion for their sunny May Day Parades. What if they can now alter the wind patterns and force them west? Now that combined with an 'accident' at a Ukrainian nuclear plant is pretty concerning, or maybe a low yield nuke strike
The end looks like it is coming for us all

So have to just wonder how much this mobilization is paper tiger ....i mean Russian forces have complained for months they dont get enough food in the front, or dont have proper military equipment .

Are the mobilized just going to be the rotation force that will displace the death/wounded ?

Humor is good.

And it is a frightening situation indeed.

Our politicians are all hooked up on marionette strings.

I think this play is what they call a tragi-comedy.

Russia hasn't got the capacity to even dream of taking on NATO in a head on collision.
A conventional war between the two would be an incredibly one-sided affair.

Russia's only hope would be to drag China in to support them.....and there's not a hope in hell they'd be suckered into that.

China would drip feed Russia just enough to prolong the conflict and then pick the bones when it was all over.

Hence Putin's threat of first strike nuclear weapons; its the only card he holds.

We absolutely can not bow down to his attempts to bully and intimidate.
How we respond is above my ken.

As for the use of wind etc; I don't know.
I suppose its a possibility.
But he would completely alienate himself and his country.
I very much doubt China would condone such things, who would?

They can't change cloud cover, and changing the wind is beyond the capability of the entire human race

But they can wait for the winds to blow in the right direction, if they wanted. Although their wait last winter for the ground to freeze for the Blitzkreig didn't exactly work out very well.

How can we know Putin hasn't got a cloud direction device in his briefcase? Wouldn't surprise one bit if they mastered the winds. Be a cracking weapon in combination with others yet totally insane, yet here we are

"tragi-comedy"

I had never heard that term before, I might have to steal it!

the same way people should have known no one had death rays in the late 1930s.,

now i'm not saying that some tech might not exist but if it does it'll be used in a similar way to the battle of the beams rather than outright death rays.. like the battle of the beams it might even reshape a war while not being the ultimate weapon to end one..

I suspect both sides reconstitute units, after they are destroyed in combat. Even if there are sufficient levels of equipment it is a difficult assignment. Issues arise from a lack of cohesion, stemming from soldiers meeting for the first time at the front line.

Notable, the Germans overcame those issues when they recreated under-strength divisions. Also, in the time between the Falaise pocket and Operation Market Garden, British and American military planners were caught off guard by that occurrence.

Are the mobilized just going to be the rotation force that will displace the death/wounded ?

Perhaps the Russian Army in Ukraine will alter its force structure to reflect its equipment shortages. They might borrow from the de-motorised infantry-centric divisions increasingly fielded by the Germans in 1943 - 45. However, one of Germany's primary issues was fuel shortages. How that impacted, the German Army is a topic for another day.

But Russia has access to oil and gas, but corruption undermines their vehicle fleets and supply systems. A lack of maintenance is another handicap to the Russian Army's mobility.

Thanks for explaining the mental gymnastics of why you support globalist interests while also socking in Q threads.

I'd argue with you, but I can just wait two months for this sock to collapse under the weight of its own failed predictions like the others.

Imagine spending your time making a series of agenda socks to spam forum threads with the same content as a Twitter bot.

LOL

Q threads?

I sometimes visit to dig into all the great deep research they do on a huge variety of seemingly random topics, and absolutely love the memes, but I never claim or associate with anything Q related, and frankly I've never even bothered to figure out wtf the Q thing even is. 'Q' isn't the part that interests me.

The US should immediately send more HIMARS and M270 for exactly that task.

I wonder how long it would take Ukrainian SU 24/25 pilots to learn the basics on the A10?

Do you think they'd want them even if each airframe only survives a few missions on average?

Would solve some serious USAF problems and stick it to some extra slimey congress critters at the same time.
