i know lots of people don't want to believe it, but lots of people back then were perverts, murders, criminals, drug users, alcoholics, sluts, whore mongers and all manner of degenerates.
difference is there weren't as many people alive back then. it's more pervasive now because more people alive and being able to gain positions of influence and leaders of communities pander to them if they aren't one of the degenerates

But maybe there are aspects of their "fringe culture" that ought to stay in the bedroom.
Heterosexuals were not out in public humping each other, nor were we trying to get anyone to accept that they should be OK with us openly doing so. We kept those aspects of our lives personal and private. We mostly appeared together in public as couples and families with hints at most.
When homosexuals said they wanted acknowledgment and that what happened in their bedroom was their business, this is what we were expecting.
Instead, they brought their bedrooms into the public eye and now our bedrooms are being drug out in the open too. It's not a good thing.

I am a 42 year old musician, guru at multiple instruments, and while I acknowledge that Cardi-B and her lot have zero talent, I very much enjoy the videos on mute.

It is all by design. The attack has come from every angle, every facet of life, community and family have been targeted.
Attack? Who's being attacked? We finally live in a time where women can do what nearly all of the man fronted bands of the 80's did, and it's an attack?

So basically you are implying that when a gay person puts on a swimsuit it looks different?

You Guys"
Who would that be exactly?
You .
You cant support the people who support this then say you dont support it.
If you support the idiots that support things like abortion the day b4 the due date and mandates then you support it.
So you support grooming 3rd graders
let's look at your general argument and set the details aside. The idea that we can't select the ideas from various sources to believe in isn't correct. This is the argument of extremists.
Being able to support some ideas from a person/group/ideology allows one to put together greater ideas than prior generations. Putting together the best ideas from various groups allows us to evolve even better ideas. This cycle allows for societal evolution over time.
Yes, sometimes, society can devolve, for which their on many reasons for. Modern tech and the creation of echo chambers play a large part in that.
For example, I support the founders of the United States but don't support slavery or limiting women from participating in the world/government.
The example of it's all or nothing only causes more divide.
Moving on to the details of your argument.
Not everyone who is left leaning supports the ideas you propose. In fact, it's only a small, vocal subgroup. Equating everyone on the left with those ideas only serves to alienate them, and yourself, from your position. When the extremists on the other side do the same, the cycle reiterates.
There is a middle ground that should be respected, as that middle ground is usually quite reasonable.
I invite you to listen to others, wholly, before attacking. You may find they are not as extreme as you initially made them out to be.

she is saying that if you go to the beach you'll see all sorts of sexual hetero displays. Likewise if you go to pubs, clubs, evening walks, see the vast majority of advertising since the 70s, etc etc etc.... you're just immured to it because you live in it. It's only when you see it as coming from an externalised source - youth culture, brown women, rappers, The Gays - that it becomes a shocking thing worth clutching pearls about.

It is all by design. The attack has come from every angle, every facet of life, community and family have been targeted. Quite brilliantly it is difficult to argue against rights for women, love is love etc etc. however the erosion of values and the fostering of tolerance for most everything has seen us slide towards the abyss.
People are generally good, but groups of people can easily be swayed to bad. We are so easy to convince and control.
Once all the bonds and strictures that tie us together are broken we are nothing more than fodder for those controlling us.
Britain, once the most powerful empire on earth is no derided and looked down upon by most everyone. The same is happening now to the USA. Most everyone hates the place and anyone from it. Even in the USA voices and movements erode its once proud heart. We are all being pulled down.

Decency is dying. Respect is dying. Dignity is dying.
There is a great deal to be said for our old society where people thought before they spoke, kept their clothes on and confined their sex lives to their own homes.
Society today is rude and crude. Heartbreaking, literally.
