Oh, you poor snowflake. In the 1950's married couples were still being shown on TV or in films in separate beds, because perish the thought of them getting into the same location and then naked and sweaty.
I liked the second video. The first thing made me goggle and then laugh.
The world has moved on. You should too.

I am a 42 year old musician, guru at multiple instruments, and while I acknowledge that Cardi-B and her lot have zero talent, I very much enjoy the videos on mute.

Yeah. I was waiting for the local News at Noon yesterday and "The View" was on so I muted it. I found I could actually watch it for 10 minutes, however, Joy is one fuggly ho now a days and if Woopee was on their I would have had to turn it off. Still, it had some shock value on mute, like a horrible accident you pass on the highway.

Mute is also good for prescription drug commercials. You aren't distracted by the sound and will actually read the small print. That's probably the most important part of those ads.

I hope others here can see the comparison. They have two avenues into your brain, sight and sound, both are important to understand the message that is like small print that you have to read between the lines.

Societal collapse (also known as civilizational collapse) is the fall of a complex human society characterized by the loss of cultural identity and of socioeconomic complexity, the downfall of government, and the rise of violence.[1] Possible causes of a societal collapse include natural catastrophe, war, pestilence, famine, economic collapse, population decline, and mass migration. A collapsed society may revert to a more primitive state, be absorbed into a stronger society, or completely disappear.

One can't honestly look at history, see all the signs and still think civilization is on the right path.

The star singers didn't weigh as much in 1950 as they do today 😀

and i bet it means nothing whatsoever that the OP referred to the women in the second video as "thots",
doesn't speak to the inherent assumptions and values at play here in any way whatsoever.

like seriously, "we should go back to the old ways when everyone was polite" and then immediately drops a cutting edge derogatory term for women. can't make it up.

First, I did not say anything about going back to a time when everyone was polite. Where did you get that?

No, I didn't say that about then. They said it themselves. There's no offense in staying the obvious.

It would seem that some can. And therein lies our demise.

Don’t like it don’t listen to it or watch it or whatever. Literally a non-issue.

I personally hate the song. I won’t actually say what I think of the video though…

When it's the popular thing, it's about the only thing. When the industry decides to churn this out, it's what you have. When Barf Brooks became the big thing in high school, suddenly every kid was a "cowboy", complete with boots, buckle, and hat. Now that Cardi and Megan are huge, you can envision what every kid is like.

You can get a clue when at least one of them says she wouldn't let her own kids listen to her.

We got here because of these things in our society:

Arrogance
Complacency
Stupidity
Positive reinforcement is the only enforcement
Abandonment of discipline
Trying to teach everyone they are super smart and special
And an underrated one, abandonment of religious morals. Say what you want about religion itself but the morals it tries to teach have been abandoned and demonized and we are enjoying the consequence are we not?

Decadence!

Elvis faced accusations of pornographic negro devil rock and roll.

Maybe those early accusations were correct?
Tom Parker may have been the devil.

And he still kept his cloths on and crotch grabbing came much later.

There's a song from the 1930s called "Shave 'Em Dry".

I'm not even gonna put a link to it.

There is a HUUUGGGE difference between something existing, and something being a part of and acceptable to a majority of society.
If you can't tell the difference, then maybe you should refrain from commenting on these issues?

"You Guys"

Who would that be exactly?

This all reminds me of Catholic girls who thought they got pregnant from kissing.

Why would they think that? Ignorance - lack of knowledge?

Ignorance is never a good thing. Knowledge and explanation is.

Ted Nugent (MAGA figure) 1981:

Jailbait

I've got no inhibitions
So keep your keys out of your ignition
I steal a car like I got the curse
I can't resist the old lady's purse

Jailbait you look so good to me
Jailbait won't you set me free
Jailbait you look fine fine fine
I know I've got to have you in a matter of time

Well I don't care if you're just thirteen
You look too good to be true
I just know that you're probably clean
There's one lil' thing I got do to you

Jailbait you look so good to me
Jailbait won't you set me free
Jailbait you look fine fine fine
I know I've got to have you in a matter of time

So tell your mama that I'm back in town
She likes us boys when it's time to get down
She's got this craving for the underage
I just might be your mama's brand new rage

Jailbait you look so good to me
Jailbait won't you set me free
Jailbait you look fine fine fine
I know I got to have you in a matter of time

Honey you you you look so nice
She's young she's tender
Won't you please surrender
She's so fine she's mine
All the time, all mine mine
It's all right baby
It's quite all right I asked your mama
Wait a minute officer
Don't put those handcuffs on me
Put them on her and I'll share her with you

I 100% agree. If you look how people dressed , a mere 60-70 years ago , they put in effort before they went out.
They looked very neat and very appropriately dressed , no 'low-cut' , no saggy/baggy anything, nothing revealing or see through, just class . Also, the way they carried themselves .
I love the style from , off course the late 1800s , and the 50s

I have been saying , we have regressed as a society, on purpose since the 1920s at least.
