I don't think American and British men can fight wars anymore.

Unlike their grandfather and father's generations who fought in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf war, today's American and British men have an aging and unhealthy population due to no war and therefore no natural selection. I was watching a movie Idiocracy which explains this phenomenon. So I think the US and the UK will have to arm Ukrainian men to fight Russian men instead.

By the way if you haven't noticed the US and the UK ARE arming Ukrainians to fight. Who they're fighting though is anyone's guess as they seem to be killing their own citizens.

If they survived actual combat they might snap out of it and prove to be "tough and resilient"...

Now I will say, I'm not exposed to the current generation of teenagers outside of the internet- so it's entirely possible the bulk of them aren't whining on the internet about how they want to be commies.... Hopefully the silent majority is still a thing.

Myself, my ex colleagues and American colleagues who I have done joint operations with would definitely beg to differ

If they can press a button, then they can fight a war.

Us good ol' boys will step in when necessary and move on, whether we get the recognition or not. I've stuck to my guns and morals my entire life, with plenty of standing alone, so I'm not worried about those that talk tough. We're always ready.

What you fail to comprehend, and it will be your downfall should the instance arise, is that your evaluation of ability is based on combat as it was presented in the previous century.

You are preparing to fight your last war.

Thus, you are not prepared for the next (or the current) war.
