So the leaders of the mosques are announcing that some Muslims are not able to afford or possibly use a watch or clock? I think that is kind of insulting to the Muslims.
Guess Christians can't get to church either without bells.
I have never been to a church that used bells. Some had them but did not use them.
Church bells, like bell towers in general, are not needed because of watches and clocks. The same reason industrial plants no longer have steam whistles. They are no longer needed to announce the time.
I don't NEED a church period.
Not the point.
Problem is that the 'other way around ' is not happening . How many churches/Christians are accepted in Saudi Arabia ? This one sided hypocrisy is a problem. Especially with increasing world wide tensions.

How many times do the church bells on a weekly bias?
Every day.
At least twice a day, in fact, for prayers.

In the Netherlands , especially in smaller villages, it's normal.

Is that like Christian church bells?
Some are now recorded and blasted over speakers.

Although I do not practice Islam, I do find their call to prayer hauntingly beautiful.
And although I do not pray, I appreciate a daily reminder to stop and reflect on my life "in the moment"; a daily "sit rep", if you will.

Yeah... but maybe you weren't aware there is a difference between some bells for an hour or so on Sunday, and blaring nasty sounds every hour on the hour 24/7.
