Just goes to show ... no matter how frustrated you are ... Putin is still bung-holing Zelensky and the 0bama administration hang-arounds.
I wonder how much of a financial setback it has been for all those corrupt US politicians.

The Russians are doing just fine.
Looking at the map today I think you are pretty much spot on
Looks like Putin is going to take the coast now Kehrson is under Russian occupation making what's left of Ukrainian speaking Ukraine kind of limbless without a port.
I guess the new Russian boots on the ground will soon as in pre 1991 stretch all the way to Romania / Moldova whatever they call that place

Uh, if they have their money in the defense sector I think they'll be fine.

You have the FM of Russia telling the EU and US to stop providing weapons or it will escalate.

This. The corrupt bastards know this stuff is happening well before we do. They just move their money around.

Did he take Kyiv?

Did he intend to?
He could level the city in a few hours if that was his intent.
Some objectives are better neutralized than captured or destroyed.

Last week I did a thread arguing that Putin never wanted the whole country to begin with. He just wanted the most economically and strategically valuable parts. The half-assed attempts to "take" Kiev were for show. That's why he sent the conscripts with #ty equipment and inadequate supplies there. He doesn't give a # about them, they were cannon fodder.

So his intent was to piss away materiale and personnel with nothing to show for it? If that was his strategy then it was brilliant since he certainly achieved that goal.

The US has blown $3.7 billion on The Ukraine since this crap-storm started. $3.7 Billion.
And, what have we got to show for it? Putin is still wreaking havoc at-will.

He sent a 40 mile convoy.
If his intent wasn't to take Kyiv then his generals should remove him from power because he's clearly lost the plot.
You don't expose that much equipment and troops to hundreds of miles of possible attacks, not to mention the waste of fuel, food, etc, if your desired objective is nothing.

Do they? I moved some stock around in February to the defense contractors who supply most of the arms being used, it was obvious it was going to happen.
I don't see it. Europeans (NATO countries even) are still buying their fuel from Russia (except Poland and Bulgaria Ahhhhhahahahahaha). Now ... that ... is embarrassing
As we've been reporting, the Russian gas provider Gazprom has cut off its supplies to Poland and Bulgaria. The Polish gas pipeline operator Gaz-System said customers in the country are receiving enough gas to meet the current demand.
"The transmission network is continuously supplied from other directions" including from Germany and the Czech Republic, the company said in a statement quoted by Reuters.
