Calling Twitter a left wing echo chamber seems like a huge stretch of the imagination, but maybe it in fact is.

Left content gets removed constantly on Instagram...so I ask how could a random person actually know what gets flagged and banned more? Left or right? Is that info public? Seems like a topic people addicted to the polarizing politics, social media, Jan 6th, Qanon, and cancel culture would argue about.

Maybe it seems like the right is banned more because a few big names got canned. People gang up and flag posts to death and people and pages get banned because of being reported so much and that happens to the left all the time.

The other day I lurked some right wing IG pages and one guy (a Caucasian) had a really bad racist joke and said the N word super loud right into the camera and it had maybe 200 views and wasn't taken down. I clicked off his page and forgot to go and report it if that's what some are assuming. There's an example of freedom of speech you all believe in that is protected by social media.

Right now a video is circulating of teenage girls yelling the N word over and over again, I think uploaded to Tik Tok originally, and now they are facing disciplinary and legal action because of their choices. But that content wasn't removed. You can still listen to it and find it easily.

Social Media is one of the biggest tools for law enforcement and it's very clear what political party cops lean towards, so what do you think they're doing on social media? Flagging pro Trump posts? Don't think so...Biden's office is pro-police too...that's not left at all.

I don't know how anyone who doesn't work at Twitter thinks they know what content gets banned the most.

In a nutshell it seems Trump stans and Musk stans are having a great day, and good for them.

Otherwise people don't change, and the crazy things Musk believes in, is definitely going to impact Twitter in the long run. For now it's this right wing free speech party which is pretty funny to observe and think about haha. Like Trump coming back to Twitter is like the return of Jesus....I can see the memes now, I can't wait for Trevor Noah's take haha.

If it seems too good to be true then it probably is, especially in this political environment, with a guy who has red flags going up all around him. I don't trust him, I think the left outrage is a manufactured narrative, and I think it's a trap. I hope I'm wrong, but I would bet that I'm not.

I spoke to this in the OP. DeSantis had a hand in this, albeit probably minimal, but I'm sure it measured a few tenths on the richter scale.

When Twitter banned the president of the USA and took down his video asking for calm and for everybody to just go home on Jan 6, I knew Twitter was one of the enemies.
I really hope Musk allows it to be like the wild west of the internet again, and let the best ideas win.

In a free society wrong and bad ideas need to be expressed but good people need to be able also counter with the correct and factual idea's or the truth. The liberal mob and coastal elites have had free reign for too long over there.
There was also alot of covid stuff that got deleted on Twitter that was valuable to the truth, we only got to see it through screen shots before they were deleted.

This is a good move, I hope.
