A pro-Kremlin Russian social media site has admitted that Russian losses in Ukraine are over 13,000 dead and 7,000 missing.

Pro-Kremlin website Readovka wrote on the Russian social media site, VK, revealing 13,400 Russian troops have been killed and a further 7,000 are missing. The latest figures from the Russian military said just 1,351 had been killed.

Sounds like the Ukrainian estimates are close to the mark.

Naturally, the comment was deleted and blamed on "hackers".

"At a closed briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced data on losses during a special operation on the territory of Ukraine. Irretrievable losses on the Russian side amount to 13,414 soldiers. About 7,000 more people are considered missing," Readovka's deleted post said.

Stingers are completely useless against high flying drones like Orion and Forpost. They don't have the ceiling to engage these. Stinger is limited to about 3.5 km altitude.

Of course, China goaded Russia into invading Ukraine for land. This forces America to donate many many tanks and artillery to Ukraine to try to stop Russia which does not work because the more Russia fights the more pride they have and this is a self reinforcing cycle. Eventually, America be depleted of tanks and artillery and then China invades Taiwan with minimal interference from America.

I've noticed you just make stuff up don't you? First, the US could, in theory, send thousands of tanks and it wouldn't affect readiness in the least. The only people these drain are the ones that can't afford replacements like Russia. They are already trying to start a recycling program because they know they cant replace what they lost and with current capabilities they make about 50 tanks a year. Next Taiwan wouldn't be fought with tanks and artillery. So even saying that is well stupid.

They do when russia keeps them under 10k because russia is unable to attain air control, as is the situation
in Ukraine.

Stingers have taken down russian fighters and bombers in Ukraine for the same reason.

Orlan becoming the game changer guiding artillery strikes, especially considering Russian GLONASS guided 300mm MRLS which has range 120 km can be used for counter battery.

Russia has war economy and China has the material supply. Russia has no trouble replacing battle losses. Also, Russia is increasing production of armed drones which replace attack jets and attack helicopters in modern warfare. Drone pilots are very quick and easy to train and don't even wear g suits.

Okay, but I don't see Ukrainian MiG-29 taking on Russian MiG-31 and Su-35 + A-50U combo. Even Ukrainian S-300 they got from Slovakia has to hide from Russian recon satellites + Kh-101 cruise missile combo.

If you believe that, you know nothing about warfare.

Just like Russia believed drones were a substitute for solid, on-the-ground reconnaissance by motivated soldiers. That mistaken belief is why their columns are getting pounded repeatedly.

But, oh, there is one niggling problem: Russian soldiers generally are NOT motivated because their leadership is piss-poor.

Getting around that one will take a major culture overhaul, and that won't happen for a generation or more.

Russia is fighting to gain land. This was not the case in Afghan war. Land is the ultimate wealth. You don't have wealth without land. Therefore, Russians are motivated in Ukraine because they fight for land.

Russian cruise missiles have free rein over Odessa. Apparently Ukrainians are not able to shoot them down with MANPADS.

I used to believe something from what he writes, or at least get confused. This specific comment about tank deliveries to Taiwan during a war with China just shows he knows nothing about what he is saying. Looking now it is just a new account making up things.

I guess what Americans can do to really hurt Russians in this proxy war is sending hundreds of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine and shoot at Moscow from Kiev but doing that will result in Kiev getting levelled by Russian cruise missiles and could also draw China into the war directly. Russia and China are the two biggest countries in the old world and so far Americans are reluctant to fight China and Russia at the same time in a proxy war.

America sends HIMARS artillery which has about 30 km range for rockets and about 500 km range for short range ballistic missile, however these trucks will soon be destroyed by Russian armed drones and / or 120 km range GLONASS guided MRLS.
