Did Russia win yet? It appears the only goals they achieved so far was looking like a third rate military.

Do you actually enjoy the taste of the flavor koolaid?

You don't need to be drinking anything to see that Russia didn't take the capital and got smoked trying. Unless of course you have some sort of magic Russian TV that shows them in Kyiv. Do you?

Apparently Kool-Aid comes in a variety of different flavours which include "Green Apple, Strawberry Kiwi, Peach Mango, Cherry Limeade, Tropical Punch, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Black Cherry, Sharkleberry Fin, and Invisible Grape".

As to the third rate military aspect, well Russia does indeed seem to have that base covered given the debacle of an invasion that is Vladimir's wet dream.

Good luck to him washing those sheets, he apt to have to snap them in half.

I always preferred "Creamola Foam".

To be honest with you i have seen people swallow worse than "Kool-Aid" and with glee no less.

Metaphorically speaking of course.

Best to take everything with a pinch of salt alphabetaone, well maybe not "Kool-Aid" all the same.

A thought on the oil depot attack. Russia blames Ukraine, Ukraine says it was not them.

We can go down the false flag route but part of me thinks it might be internal dissent in the Russian military. Especially since they started the drafting of 140k russian conscripts, the numbers of KIA/WIA/MIA and the possibility of Russian soldiers being forced to kill extended family members in Ukraine. To add salt to the wound Russia is redeploying troops in order to change the narrative. The introduction of the execution squads in Ukraine.

Given what the oil facilities in Belgordo are responsible for, supplying the russian forces with fuel etc...

I think Russia would rather blame Ukraine instead of acknowledging they are having internal dissent within the military.

just a thought..

Hundreds of Russian troops are refusing to invade Ukraine, lawyer says, as a group of national guardsmen sue the government

* - A lawyer for Russian troops fired for refusing to go to Ukraine said nearly 1,000 others had contacted him.
"A lot of people don't want to go and fight," Mikhail Benyash told the Financial Times.
* - Multiple reports have outlined low morale among Russia's troops.
* - Putin announced a "special military action" against Ukraine in the early hours on February 24.
* - Less than 24 hours later, photos show Ukrainians fleeing as the war escalates.
* - Photos show traffic jams, couples embracing, and a mother trying to distract her child.

A lawyer representing a group of Russian national guardsmen refusing to join the invasion of Ukraine said that hundreds of other soldiers and guardsmen had been in touch with him looking for help to avoid the war.

Mikhail Benyash told the Financial Times that "a lot of people don't want to go and fight" and that around 1,000 people had been in touch with him since his case representing the guardsmen was made public.

He said he represents 12 national guardsmen who were fired for refusing to go to Ukraine.

They were members of Rosgvardia, which is a force separate to the military. They argued that this meant they shouldn't be sent to Ukraine, the FT reported.

The men thought that they would be doing something illegal if they went abroad as part of an armed group, Reuters reported. They also do not have passports, Reuters reported.

They filed a wrongful dismissal suit against the government, Reuters and the FT reported.

Russia lost the first Chechen war against a much weaker opponent. So I don't think it's impossible. But definitely Ukraine has gotten a lot of help.

Russia isn't fighting a war with Ukraine; they're fighting the US by proxy, IMHO.

But it's both, isn't it?

Right! I should have said "The US is fighting a proxy war with Russia at the expense of Ukraine". I personally feel that way because of Biden's hostility and continual verbal assaults that - to me- looked like deliberate attempts at escalation before Ukraine was even invaded....by Russia, that is. There's every indication the US was well established in all sectors of Ukraine, and well known Russia wasn't going to allow much more 'pushing' before shoving back.

Volodymyr Zelensky Fires Two Top Generals—Ukraine 'Traitors'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has decided to fire two of his top officials and has dubbed them "traitors."

In an address on Friday morning, the President announced that he had fired the chief of Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Naumov Andriy Olehovych.

He also removed the head of the SBU in Kherson, Kryvoruchko Serhiy Oleksandrovych.

Zelensky posted this address on his Facebook page and also reflected on the low expectations people had for Ukraine's ability to stand up to Russia.

We endured much more than the enemy expected. They said - three or five days. They thought that this would be enough for them to seize our entire state....

The Ukrainian president accused the two officials of failing to do their duty and protect Ukraine.

He also warned that they "will all be punished," but said he did not currently have time to deal with them.

Well it has to e one of two things either it was the Ukrainians who attacked apparently not informing Ukraine's commanders. Or it was indeed some Russian pilots figuring this was an opportunity to end the war. Since I can see huge benefits to a unit in Ukraine reporting they did this the denial tends to make me think it was Russian pilots. That would also explain how they could fly into Russian territory so easily. If they were seen as friendly units because I assure you I wouldn't want to e a Ukrainian pilot crossing Russia's border.

Nonsense, we LOVE all the russian military secrets russia has given us over the past month, and are happy that most NATO countries will finally meet their spending obligations after decades of cheating and putting that burden on the U.S., but the Ukraine related spending is peanuts on the scale of U.S. defense spending, and really isn't anything to get excited about, the increased energy costs more than eat up any 'gains' there anyway.
