You don't have any actual idea about what is happening with that. Anything nefarious the US is doing there would be compartmentalized and classified. Classified illegally in order to hide illegal activity and treaty violations. The USA has a long history, and recent history of this. Especially under Obama/Biden. All of that has a much higher degree of likeliness to it than any officially released stated purposes or goals.

Yeah, I could buy it as a conspiracy theory novel, but this is the real world.

There is no evidence of weapons labs in Ukraine, and there are a lot of international organizations looking over their shoulders to make sure of that.
