we arent a virus , we may exhibit some viral tendencies probably because we share some DNA
Virus's have no compassion , we have some of us left who still have compassion for each other
its not over until the last human gives up

well until the last 100 or so required to repopulate the planet with enough genetic diversity .

I wouldnt be surprised if there was an underground facility with kids with genetics from all over the world , just sitting tight in case the earth dies and they will live there for decades and then come out once the radiation has gone. Like "foundation" but on earth

Well its a beautiful sentiment if nothing else.

Personally i see humanity as more of a virus these days considering our days of living in harmony with nature and the land are long gone.

End up with a third world war all the same and we may not have much of an option but to return to nature or rather what's left of her.

The thing I fear the most is that way too many people don't give a damn anymore.

Those that think they have nothing left to lose, will take everything they can, and if they can't, they will go scorched Earth, bat crap crazy.

My solution is no likely to be any more effective than any others, but I think we have a better chance if we make joining in securing their survival the best option, we all have a better chance of winning.

Of course it won't be easy. We are going to have to make many unpleasant and tough decisions, and some of those decisions may come down to life and death decisions.

That is why, I will take the long walk once I am no longer useful, or become a burden to the group.

I have lived a pretty good life. I don't want to reduce anyone else's changes of surviving in the brave new world that I will face daily with regret and distain, while always looking back.

If we can just get the children to the point of sustainability on the land. I grew up on the land and on the water.

One rule followed religiously by everyone, is that you never over fished the waters, and you always prepared for the next harvest.

You had bountiful years and you had lean years. You always prepared for the future, even if that meant you had to go without.

They are going to have to be raised by cyborgs, because if raised by humans we will just continue to pass the sickness on.

Not that there are not good people. It is just that good people will overlook, tolerate, and make excuses, for any inappropriate behaviors, and evil people will cultivate inappropriate, and destructive behaviors.

Imperfect beings will yield imperfect results.

I have been told all my life that love is the answer. I see the destructive results everyday, of love without structure or discipline, and the results of evil, and abuse.

Most of the times you can't tell the difference.
