Do you think this will affect the Big Guy's cut?

Even if they take Kyiv, I'm sure it will still take a while to pacify the military/militias.

Plus, I'm sure there's bound to be some unrest once Russia starts the executions.

There are always 3 sides to any matter, one side, the other side and the truth:

Please take the time to listen to her all the way through. We seem to be forgetting that Ukraine does not belong to neither Russia or the US or Nato.

We also seem to be forgetting that the west in 2014 helped Ukraine spark their own national socialist party.
And we don't seem to be very good at keeping a woke eye to what those forces have been doing and commiting in Ukraine since then.

A few highlights from this former Ukrainian presidential candidate:

- Ukraine consist of people who speak ukrainian and people who speak Russian. (just like Canada with English and French)
- Ukraine has since 2014, been censoring the local broadcast of local Russian speaking tv.
- Since 2014, Ukrainian national socialists /nazis, have been on the rise, without governmental put down and with no comments from the west.
- Her party wants Ukrainian sovreignty to be respected, the nazis stopped and Ukraine helped to be a unified Ukraine with respect to all, regardless of language, sex, any criteria, and to respect that some parts have relations to Russia.
- She wishes for Russia, China, US and Germany to meet at the table and reach a settlement.

We also seem to forget that Russia and the US share a border north of the Pacific.

Im no Putin fan, but if you placed yourself in space and looked at the Earth objectively as the GLOBE it is.
It's the US and Nato that has bases around Russia, not Russia that has bases around the US.

Then ask yourself once again; what would I do if I was president of a country in Russias position?

Not a fan of Putin

Been saying this from the get-go, if Russia did in Mexico what NATO did in Ukraine, we would be screaming invade Mexico.

and yes the Nazi in Ukraine aspect is troubling,

Didn't the current leadership in the Ukraine overthrow the legitimate leadership there ?

Yes but the way I remember it, that government (Viktor Yanukovych's) that was over thrown was a Russian Puppet.

Yeah , by the way Western media called it .

No doubt this invasion will be stopped in it's tracks when Joe Biden threatens to cut off Russia's supply of useless vaccines, hormone blockers and furry porn.

It does seem that the Ukrainian armed forces Ed are being smashed, but we will see. Conventional war on this scale has not been seen in Europe since WW2. The Balkans was nothing by comparison - although fierce and sectarian.

Trouble is this is a three pronged invasion and Ukrainian forces will likely be surrounded. They need to either organise to fight back properly or stand down. Withdrawing to a defensive ring around Kyiv would make more sense, so they can concentrate what they have.

This could so easily spill out of control and still makes zero sense from Russia’s perspective. It is an insane move. Crippling sanctions and economic blocs will likely force Putin further - and then we will see very serious problems.

This really is not the time for Russian aligned posters to excuse Putin. It is indefensible. We are all world citizens and we should all stand together against such insanity.

Who do you believe the Russians will be executing?? Will these be extra judicial executions, or following tribunals in your opinion??

Newsweek report from the last half hour...

The video was retweeted by investigative website Bellingcat whose founder Elliot Higgins wrote: "As predicted, it looks like the Russian military is aiming to take Kyiv as quickly as possible."

"At this rate Russian troops could be marching through Kyiv before the EU, UK and US has implemented any sanctions," he added.

www.newsweek.com...

I wasn't sure if I heard televised news correct or not, but some British reporter stating that her intel sources were telling her that Russian helicopters and planes were already circling the capitol building in Kyiv? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

ETA: It looks like my above statement has been confirmed by Newsmax, but we'll see. Any other reports on that?

Yanukovych's Party was elected into power on promises of seeking closer ties to the EU. On the eve of an agreement with the EU that had been in the works been years being signed, Yanukovych announced that all further negotiations were halted on it.

The reason behind that announcement is that Yanukovych and Putin made a secret deal that brought Ukraine back under Russia's sole influence.

This quickly led to protests that actually grew to become the Euromaidan movement a few months later. Once it was clear that Yanukovych lost the support of the people, he was legally impeached and his party was voluntarily dissolved.

And now we are one errant missile hitting Poland away from a full-scale war.

Kiss your kids and grandkids. We will not be leaving them the world I parents left us. I pity them actually.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

The world my parents brought me into was that they, as children, did duck and cover drills under their school desk so they could avert their eyes when/if the thermonuclear blast wave hit and vaporized them.

In my school years, no more duck and cover, just worrying if SDI/Star Wars would escalate tensions to another level beyond the Cold War.

The world my children live in is generally much more safe and secure, in terms of the threat of nuclear holocaust, and still is.

There's no excuse for what we're watching, Russia has no claim to the morale high ground since they've gone way beyond grabbing just the Eastern contested regions. That said, I worry a lot more about what a Taiwan invasion could portend for our stability, but all in all, we're a long LONG way from the current generation going back to duck and cover desk drills.

Your comment on "Putin declaring Cuba independent" makes 0 sense, those alliances have been dissolved for decades now. 1950 called, it wants its geopolitical world understanding back.

A big difference between excusing Putin to trying to understand his motivations. You can stand all you want, but unless somebody at NATO, the EU, or the US addresses Putin's concerns he can decimate Ukraine while they apply useless sanctions. Any ground NATO gained since 2014 has been lost, and think of the billions in aid and equipment being destroyed. Somebody got paid, some companies got rich and now we will let Russia beat them down again so we can build them back up and repeat and rinse. It's about the money made trying to shift Ukraine from Russian influence to NATO EU influence.

Putin got tired of NATO building a wall around Russia and the Nazi element in Ukraine's leadership doesn't help, along with corrupt American politicians fleecing Ukraine with aid for kickbacks and favors unless you believe Hunter was on the board of Burisma for his business acumen. None of this justifies how far Putin has gone, but you throw in being walled out economically. Along with again if Russia did what NATO did in Ukraine in Mexico we would have been screaming invade too. Unless you are fine with a Mexican version of the Azov Battalion on Texas' Arizona and New Mexico borders?

2 videos that helped me understand much more about Ukraine, it's not about defending Putin, it's about being wary of all sides involved here. Putin, and each and every NATO member, and the current Ukrainian government I don't trust any of them.

I wonder what talking points the Russian contingent on here have been given to claim this is justified.

That Ukraine had a coup 8 years ago and the guy who took over persecuted ethnic Russians who are now in danger from a Ukrainian attack.

Which is more or less the truth.

I doubt any of the MSM is going to mention this. The West overthrew Ukraine's democratically-elected government because it was too Russia-friendly for their liking.

Unfortunately, we have a long and shameful history of doing that kind of thing to other countries. See Iran and half of Latin America for examples. You'd think we'd have learned by now, because it ends up biting us on the ass every. single. time.

An oversimplification if i may say so. What were the terms of these agreements and closer ties with EU exactly?? I only read the headline, but never get the details. Can we quantity exactly what gains and losses the influence of EU vs Russia were in numbers?? Free trade?? Favorable energy prices?? Defense contracts?? I never see the details discussed, and i would like to know.

I'm only going off what intelligence reports have said. They'll be targeting prominent politicians, activists, dissidents that had fled Russia and Belarus, etc.

Just the normal targets when a fascist dictator takes control of a country.

It sounds like these will be extrajudicial killings with them being gunned down in the streets.

Presumably they will destroy most of the equipment of the Ukrainian military and pro-government Militias, and annex Russian majority areas, who want to be part of Russia anyway.

Good time to be the arms business I guess.
