Possibly that and also India may have a similar history to that of Russia when it comes to land and territories.

No, they just want something from Russia so they are kissing their butts. India is a rival and enemy of China and a traditional friend of Russia for that reason alone.

Putin is bugging out

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Ukrainian military to seize power from their own government.

He said "I am addressing Ukrainian armed forces servicemen once again: do not allow neo-Nazis and Banderites to use your children, your wives and the elderly as a human shield.

Can't say the same about the US. Got butt kicked in Iraq and Afghanistan by sandal wearing folks.

Just catching up on recent news and a few things ( in my mind ) seem a little odd .
Putin calling for Ukrainian forces to start a coup ?
Large scale protests against the war taking part in Russia ?
Russians bragging about taking Chernobyl ?
Not sure why anyone would want to control Chernobyl , seems bit of an own goal .
With the protests across Russia, the invasion seeming to falter and now asking the Ukrainian forces to start a coup could it be that Putin is facing pressure from home to reign in the attack , could it be the realization of what sanctions are in place and being proposed has caused a U turn for a majority of his supporters

The Russian tanks can't repel the British/Swedish anti tank missiles it would appear.

Ukraine's ambassador to London has confirmed that British anti-tank weaponry has been used to help the state defend itself against Russian forces.

Speaking in the Commons on Friday, James Heappey, the Armed Forces minister, said anti-tank missiles had "already proven to be invaluable" in the conflict in Ukraine.

You know what happened.

But you are correct that we aren't very good at peacekeeping or nation building roles.

Most effective war fighters the world has ever seen by a huge margin, but absolutely suck at standing between two determined enemy forces.

No president should ever be allowed to give orders like that again.

We go to immediately destroy the enemy's willingness to fight, or we don't go at all.

I read in another post, maybe in another thread, that the Ukraine had built a facility in Chernobyl that was somehow recycling nuclear waste into (enriched?) plutonium?
