Three Russian guided-missile cruisers have been arrayed across the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea to counter three NATO carrier strike groups, causing concern in the Pentagon, a U.S. defense official told USNI News on Tuesday.
As of Monday, the three Slava-class cruisers were operating in and around the Aegean Sea – RTS Moskva (121) in the Black Sea, RTS Marshal Ustinov (055) south of Italy and RFS Varyag (011) off the coast of Syria, near Russia’s naval base in Tartus.
Moskva is based in the Black Sea, while Marshal Ustinov traveled from the Northern Fleet and Varyag from the Pacific Fleet. Ustinov and Varyag entered the Mediterranean from opposite ends earlier this month.
The three 11,500-ton Slavas were designed around launchers that can hold 16 SS-N-12 Sandbox anti-ship cruise missiles – each about the size of a telephone pole. Developed in the 1970s, the Slavas and the Sandboxes were designed to take on U.S. and NATO aircraft carriers by overwhelming them with a barrage of high-speed cruise missiles to sink ships.
The position of the cruisers around the Aegean is a complication for the U.S., Italian and French carrier strike groups that have been operating in the Mediterranean the last several weeks.

I think that was Japan. Before WWII in Europe Hitler had gotten rid of all those sanctions from the WWI Treaty of Versaille or just illegally ignored them. On the other hand sanctions on Japan were certainly a big thing in WWII.
Hitler rose to power on the back of those sanctions.
Hitler 'coming to power' did NOT cause ww2.
Nor did the strong punishment for what germans did in ww1.
Appeasing an international tyrant did.
And in case you haven't noticed, hitler 2.0 is ALREADY in power.
I am not saying banning russia from using swift would instantly stop the invasion-but it would certainly have more effect than the sanctions so far implemented IMO.

Russian navy can strike from Caspian. Kalibr has enough range.

They already had send out 9 aircraft near Taiwan today. If NATO pushes further to Russia's border you make a good point they will also see this as a thread on their borders.
This is not a good move that NATO did either.

Turkey shuts down access to the Russian military
If Turkey does that, their economy would take a massive nose dive. It was Russia that saved Turkey's economy the last time around.

It wouldn't affect Turkeys economy since the action would only apply to Russian Naval units. In casee you haven't noticed the Russian economy is nose diving along with the Ruble.

Time for the Russian people to unite and get rid of the kleptocratic dictator that has stolen their money and stamped on their freedoms and democracy with utter contempt for them.

Russia has full support of China. If need be, thousands and thousands of HJ-12 anti tank missiles will flood into Russia.
