I don't think I'm stupid - no Brain of Britain either, but certainly not stupid.

But could someone please explain to me in very simple and in an easy to understand manner exactly why Putin's move on the Ukraine is down to Biden and The Democrats?

I know the man is a hopeless incompetent, I'm not disputing that....I just don't quite get why Putin's desire to regain land he believes is rightfully Russia's is Biden's fault.

This is a genuinely serious question free from any sort of political bias etc.

I'm sure there are many other non-American members who think the same and would also like some sort of clarification and explanation.

So with this declaration, does this mean that Russia can move its troops into those regions and then claim they didn't encroach on Ukraine's borders since they don't recognize those regions as Ukraine? Similar to what they did to Crimea.

I believe this is exactly what will happen, Russian troops will move in to defend their new allies and prevent a Ukrainian response.

Then if something should happen to said troops, the other troops stationed in Belarus, Crimea, and the northern border will attack.

I'm American and still can't figure out why this is our problem or why we should be involved. The only thing I can think of is there are certain politicians that have interests in Ukraine and with Putin getting closer it would mess with those interests. The history is there and from what I am gathering those regions don't want to be a part of Ukraine, none of our business as far as I'm concerned and with the shape of the economy and everything else I don't want to see any of our tax money going over there. We have enough problems here.

Does anyone still believe this isnt about Biden and Burisma and all the dirt?

Are you saying Putin is doing all of this because of Biden and Hunter?

What the hell has Putin done exactly ?

They swore to us he was going to invade weeks ago.

They are lying

They are always lying

I was trying to clarify your original comment.

The thread is about Putin's address and how he's recognizing the outer part of Ukraine as a seperate region.

You said-

Does anyone still believe this isnt about Biden and Burisma and all the dirt?

So I asked if what Putin has said/done is part of Biden or Hunter.

Maybe you thought you were in a different thread with a different context?

Fantasy fueled by a lack of understanding of real world politics.

The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances refers to three identical political agreements signed at the OSCE conference in Budapest, Hungary on 5 December 1994 to provide security assurances by its signatories relating to the accession of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The memorandum was originally signed by three nuclear powers: the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States. China and France gave somewhat weaker individual assurances in separate documents.[1]

The memorandum included security assurances against threats or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances

In summation, when the Soviet Union collapsed, a now sovereign Ukraine inherited a large stockpile of nuclear weapons. Ukraine decided to give them up with assurances that their sovereignty not be challenged or threatened. The United States was involved in this negotation.

I've heard a number of times over the years that Putin was interested in joining NATO when he was first elected. However, it never came to fruition because Putin didn't think Russia should have to go through the same process as every other country that applies.

That said, Russia was a part of NATO's Partnership for Peace program for a while.

I think it is up to the EU to do what they want to do.
In as much as Biden has been spouting off about all of this, he is involved to some degree.
I think Biden should have been more reserved all along, kept his mouth shut, IOW.

It doesn't matter what I think Putin should do, he is going what he has planned. I have no idea what his plan was.

Any evidence to damn an entire country and write it off like that?

The US has its own share of Neo Nazis.

Should we write off the whole of the US, using your "logic"?

Putin knew what would happen if he tried, so he didn't.

Until democrats stole an election to force the biden idiot on the world.

Did you not see the old threads where this was accurately predicted in detail?

Or what else we predicted as a result of what democrats did?

It isn't over yet, Ukraine is just the most recent example of those remarkably accurate predictions of what would happen as a result of what democrats did.

Won't be the last.

More pain is incoming, and unstoppable.

We'll probably survive, but the democrat party won't.
