Logic is important and lack of understanding the logic of a situation gets us into trouble.

I recall a P-Chem professor who would put us thru hell by including a number in the test question where we had a known formula to be tested against but the number was a distraction. It was so small it was essentially Zero and if you multiply or divide by zero you get 0 or an error if you divided. On the covering of the test results he would get to that part and make us moan with our form of DUH! He would explain the reason our answers were off was because we used a number that was so small compared to the data we were reviewing that it was Zero and canceled a portion of the equation,,, duh!

A million times zero is just as equal to zero as 1 times zero. So 1 million times 0.00000000000000001 is 0.

I'm not sure how people in the US ended up equating right with freedom and left with authority but that is only a US thing and not really accurate.

ETA: Actually that last part isn't true, I'm sure the red scare had a lot to do with that.

It still boils down to those who want to control people are the leftists because to be right wing is to want no controls on people. Both extremes being very bad. We need a Right leaning / less gov situation but enough laws to protect the innocent.

Even the right in the US wants to control things, especially the religious right. All the movements against porn, certain books, certain music, alcohol, the war on drugs, abortion. All those are about control and championed by segments of the american right.

Ever see the political spectrum with the X and Y axis? Those exists because simplified right=anarchy and left=control didn't fit the real world.

Was previously on a series of 72 hour notices for immediate deployment to 'Romania', which likely means Ukraine.

Can't send U.S. aircraft or tanks without these guys on the ground.

Today there is no correct group in the left or right. And that’s simply the summation of your errors. You think that “back in the day” one was this and one was that.
But this is today. And the right will sit and talk for 2 years about what they think they did to save us (nothing)and the left will continue to shout how they care about people while attempting to dictate every single facet of life
