No. A good Christian emulates a Christlike life. Not a suicidal bound confrontational life, going from town to town, homeless and depending on the charity of others, like Jesus did.

Thank you for proving that you've never read the Bible, nor ever cared to understand the sacrifice represented by the death of Jesus Christ.

It isn't your lack of faith that disturbs me but your lack of knowledge as you attempt to browbeat the faithful.

A "good Christian" would know that what you replied "No." to was a paraphrasing of what Jesus said in John 14:6:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

On issue after issue that you presume to lecture on you are woefully lacking in knowledge and understanding. Of arrogance and condescension you seem to have an endless supply.

You

Sweety, I was such a holy roller immersed in Christianity I still consider myself a "good Christian"

There is no “good Christian”. Only the forgiven.

I've redefined "Christ" and "God" to fit my spiritual needs. And that's the way that works when you graduate Christianity.

I didn’t know being “spiritual” is about self?

I thought it was about growing outside one’s self through sacrifice? And being challenged. While having freewill.

Jesus earned the title of "Christ" through his resurrection. Of course, I don't believe in a resurrected Jesus.

Like I said above, I have redefined "Christ". I identify more with Philo of Alexandria's LOGOS, written well before the advent of Jesus of Nazareth. The "Christ Consciousness" is more to my alignment. A perfected human archetype that encompasses the whole existence of humanity and its evolution toward a Christlike embodiment.

I thought it was about growing outside one’s self through sacrifice?

Life is the sacrifice. Leaving perfection for the sake of humanity, with certain death as the only way back home.

So you're not a Christian.

You don't believe in the central tenets of Christianity and you don't seem to know what Jesus actually said.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I can't believe you posted those two statements together and they so violently and flagrantly contradict and you did not catch that ...

How did Christ live? According to you:

Not a suicidal bound confrontational life, going from town to town, homeless and depending on the charity and adoration of others, like Jesus did.

Jesus lived a suicidal homeless, dependent lifestyle. Oh and confrontational ...

But, the true Christian:

A good Christian emulates a Christlike life.

BWAHAHAHAHA! You have become a parody of yourself.

I don't believe in Jesus, I take some of what the Bible says he said, and I leave some. Christ and Jesus are very two different things.

No they aren't.

While I agree that Christ is a title. It was given to Jesus for a reason.

Those reasons are concealed in the pages of the Bible you keep proving you haven't read.

It’s ok. Sook is meeting her own personal spiritual needs. That’s what happen’s when you “graduate” Christianity.

I wish I could be my own god. I could justify anything.

Christ never lived in this plane of existence. Jesus died. To live a "Christlike life" has nothing to do with emulating a dead man.

Which makes you not a Christian.

I have evolved through Christianity. Christians preach their faith, as you have done in this thread, regularly. It isn't a secret and so, neither is your hypocrisy.

It's like you strive to offend as many people as possible in the most offensive way possible.

Sheesh, you're so easily offended, even Gov Hotchel's Christian belief that "God wants Christians vaccinated" offends you. So, I'm not too worried about hurting your feelings by calling your hypocrisy out, since you wear them so openly on your sleeve.

Oh yeah, you can definitely yell you are so spiritually evolved.....

I can't believe your still going on In this thread....

I think you are just a miserable troll that feeds of negativity....

Are you kidding? Believing in Jesus as salvation is the pinnacle of a lack of accountability. Jesus will forgive you of anything, and then you go to heaven to live in eternal in peace and perfection. No work. No accountability.

No.

Your astounding arrogance is only overshadowed by your astounding lack of understanding.

I'm done replying to you on this or any other topic.

Your questions are off topic. If you would like to discuss what people who believe in reincarnation believe about the "soul", start a thread. I would be glad to participate.

Ha! You can't answer anyone's questions....

You really are the worst....

You say you are spiritually evolved and believe in reincarnation and it is obvious you don't know what the hell you're talking about.....

I understand I am allowed to take and leave what I learned through my many years of the Christian experience. I created a personal God and strive to embody the eternal sprit of humankind, that I identify as "Christ Consciousness".

You go ahead and stick with what works best for you.

Toodle loo, now.

You're right. I've been led off topic. I didn't want to...but it happened.

Back on topic, I don't see a problem with Gov Hothul's Christian assertion that God wants Christians vaccinated. I don't believe in her god, or her Jesus. But I don't have a problem with her speaking Christianese to a group of Christians.

So if a person cannot get the vaccine because of medical reasons, are they not “listening to God”?

I don't get that from the Governor's statement, but, I think she would say for those who can get vaccinated to do it out of love for your neighbor who can't and is vulnerable to the virus.

Why does that matter when you can catch and spread covid vaccinated or not?

No, asking for forgiveness through change of heart and action is only a small part.

And you never really explained how and what decides how, when, and where a soul is recycled through reincarnation. Is meeting your own spiritual needs the highest state of enlightenment?

You

Jesus will forgive you of anything

Because who is perfect?

4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”

6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” 8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.

9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”

11 “No, Lord,” she said.

And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

www.biblegateway.com...

If you missed it, “ And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

There are still standards Jesus holds the saved to.

and then you go to heaven to live in eternal in peace and perfection.

It’s not about reward, it’s about serving God.

No work. No accountability.

And we are back to…

And you never really explained how and what decides how, when, and where a soul is recycled through reincarnation. Is meeting your own spiritual needs the highest state of enlightenment?

What if strippers and beer are my spiritual needs?
