Not my circus, not my monkey Oldcarpy2 not that i don't agree with you but whats the point.

You know perfectly well what happens when anybody suggests any sort of implementation of restrictions where guns are concerned across the pond, even where the likes of assault rifles and automatic weapons are in play.

America is not up for moving much on that point or so it seems to me.

So like i said on that score, each to there own, else it just descends into the same repetitive argument, again and again, and again, you get the point.

yeah man its totally messed up.

I think most people just can't comprehend that kind of minset which is part of makes it so difficult to understand why he done what he done. Thats probably why we look for answers and blame it on stuff like mental health, police failings, video games and so on.

Personally i just think there are sadly some very evil folk on this planet.

Exactly. Shooting your mum and a three year old girl and other innocent folk is just evil and you can't dress it up as anything else.

Obviously i don't know him.

But i think he seemed to have looked more sad and pathetic to me than evil per-say.

Don't exactly take a big bad man to kill his old maw, 3 year old wee girl and who ever else had the misfortune of getting in his way of his shotgun.

Then again they do say it has many forms, evil that is.

Most Definitely.

I suggest that's not a Man all the same, but a monster.

As is clearly evident by his actions.

But...but...aren't firearms largely illegal in your world? Oh wait, they're just not illegal enough, right?

And, do you think if they were 'illegal-er' that it would have made any difference to this douchebag?

Hell of a time to employ sarcasm, but each to there own.

I imagine when things like this occur there tends to be numerous different aspects and dimensions at play.

There were obviously reasons as to why he did what he did other than those state an other that the fact that he was evil.

I dont imagine he simply woke up and decided to off his mother and the rest of the poor sods he murdered that day put it that way, or at least i hope not.

All firearms are illegal unless you are a farmer or the like, or in a gun club.

Wee guy sits in his room, cant get a bird, worried about his weight and looks.

How do you imagine he would score a pump action shotgun if it was not licensed to his person?

Probably not do to well on the street if we are honest or around people that would punt him such.

So yes i do indeed think it may have made a difference.

Especially that Police seem to have returned his licence.

Essentially they gave him the weapon back to go on to commit the mass murders.

Yup - any mental health issue or autistic spectrum disorder doesn't excuse what he has done - 99.9999% of people with such conditions don't go around killing people, especialy children. Mental health services desperately need more funding but his actions are not representative of people with such issues.

The guy was a # who blamed others for his own issue and failures rather than tackling them head on like everyone else does.

Okay...so you think firearms should be "illegal-er" than they already are, right?

Fair enough.

We know your opinion.

ETA - No amount of laws will be good enough for you, will they? You just need more and more.

Where does it end? Where does personal responsibility stop, and government oversight (by the mighty fist) begin?

Naw mate that's what your saying.

I already know firearms are illegal and that's a simple fact of the matter here in the UK.

Tell us all how he scores a pump action shotgun again at the drop of a hat without already owning one to do the damage?

You see contrary to whatever you believe pump action shotguns are not exactly growing on trees here in the UK.

And the people that do have access to such weaponry are hardly lightly to give or sell them to moronic muppets like that lad, because it would be more trouble than its worth.

My opinion is if he did not have the shotgun he could not have offed 6 people and then himself in the manner that he did, simple as that.
