I like the way you think! That all sounds about right to me. There is also the different ways people learn. I hated Algebra (wasn't a math fan) until I grew up and learned to use it in real world applications. To be honest....in school Algebra 1 and 2 I did the English and history homework for myself and a friend and she did my Algebra homework. Of course I bombed most the Algebra tests but could just slide by with passing grades. As an adult I learned Algebra out of necessity and I will say not all teachers relate to certain kids. I could not learn from my Algebra teacher, that made me hate math but as an adult I met people that explained it in a manner that I could comprehend. I think that happens a lot. Anyway, I do like the way you laid that out. Then lets give them the chance to experience some of the things C.Troy mentioned. Right now they are being indoctrinated with a bunch of lies and being babysitted imo. I think the teachers unions have to go. I know that will piss a bunch of folks off but those unions are no good for society. There may be good unions but the teachers unions are not. We have dead beats leading our children who got into the profession for the $$$ and not for their love of teaching. Protecting those deadbeats, socialists, child molesters, etc through a damn union has to go!
I have mentioned this before but I am an account manager for colleges in 3 states. Last spring one of the colleges in La. started a fishing program which is a pretty cool idea. I have another college that has programs with roping and other rodeo type events. That made sound odd to some people and unnecessary but you would really be surprised in how those events can teach skills that aren't always obvious. I would like to see more practical programs and I believe that by the 10th grade they should be more involved in college programs. 12 Years of BS is too long really. And maybe some of them go to work for a bit. Give them the chance to grow a bit before entering into that level of learning.

I have know idea who that Caitlin person is but the ignorance is appalling. Sadly there are many like her "that just dont get it." I don't know how you are supposed to deal with people like her???? They still don't understand that it isn't about Donald J. Trump is is about the direction he tried to take this country......away from evil. We elected Trump because we were sick of their s**t, we had, had enough and Hillary Clinton had damaged this country so much that she was NEVER an option. Someone needs to explain to the left why you don't poke a damn bear! They poked, and poked, and poked, then they poked some more until we were done!
