It's only 92 here in Glacier country, the average temp in the past has been 72. My sil is in the hermiston region. 118 in the shade there. My cats are all begging for a shear. Definitely a day for ice cream and shade!

Woooowwww, when I was stationed at the disgusting Browning MT Hospital ER, I lived in Cut Bank. So, greetings!
Stay cool, and put a wet blanket on the penguin :^D

I'm a sweaty mess on a good day.

When it gets hot and humid I sometimes keep ice packs in my pockets

I'm 50 miles east from Vancouver, B.C.
Today was warm. 109f. 42c. I actually love the heat.
Monday is supposed to be the hottest day of the year. Lytton, B.C. might hit close to 122f 50c

No such thing as global warming? Oh good.

AC failed at my office once. I shaped together some 3/8 copper tube in a coil over the grill of a standing 20" fan connecting it in a few spots with zip ties. Connected the ends to some clear pvc tube i had sitting around from my aquariums gravel cleaner. One pvc end I connected to my pond pump and then dropped both the intake and return lines into a cheap styrofoam cooler filled with a little bit of water and a lot of ice. Kept me cool for a few days at the office while the AC was being repaired. I actually still have that aparatus (separated from the fan right now) in my garage should I ever need it again.

Some of y'all are such sissy's!! LOL!!

100F isn't uncommon here at all in the dog days of summer out in August and September. We've even been having them here in June already. Had one 105F day, and a string of about a week of 100+ days.

I don't like the heat, but as I've noted previously; the heat here is nothing compared to the heat in SE Asia. There, you feel like you're zipped up in a Ziplock bag laying on an asphalt road in the blazing sun! It's unbearable! And, it's inescapable. And that's only in the high 90's...but the issue is the humidity which usually hovers around 97%, so sweating doesn't help. Worse, there's zero breeze, or wind.

I used to scoff when people said...'yeah, but it's a dry heat'...but it's true!

Just wait til the corn grows out in July for us midwesterners. The moisture from the corn is no joke lol. When my ac was down last summer I didn’t know to be outside or inside how hot and humid it was everywhere.

The humidity at times have been bad as it already this year. Dews in high 60-70s.

I agree about the breeze/wind. There’s nothing worse when there’s zero breeze it’s like a sauna.

Thankfully I got the Hvac working here recently. But I remember a night a month ago where I opened all the windows to release the heat/have the colder air at night circulate in.

The wind was around 4mph lol. It did absolutely nothing. I had fans on me all night waiting for temps to dip down which it didn’t. Bought a Vornado that seemed to just circulate the hot air. But any breeeze helped

Sucks too because sometimes I want fresh air to come in but if it’s humid, forget it. It’ll kill any comfort inside fast.

Enduring that heat and humidity at home all day will basically park you on the couch or bed in underwear.

stay cool everyone

We have central air and I keep our house between 75 and 78 degrees.
I don't want my house getting too cool because I don't want to get used
to it.My husband is always cold even in summer, that's another reason as
well.

75 is the cool side of where we keep our air set all summer. Normally we set it about 77 to 78, but then, we get normal temps in the 90s for most of the summer.

That's midwestern people and you are all, well, insane.

Normal room temps should be 64F.

64F my husband would become a popsicle.
