Have we finally entered the age of daily soft serve nutrition paste? Most bugs are superfoods, you know.

Sounds pretty tasty. Bug paste on toast with bruschetta on top. Mmmmmm. A grilled breakfast burrito with fluffy eggs, fresh garden salsa and avocado, rice and beans, and maggot chorizo, all wrapped in a homemade tortilla. Delicious and nutritious.

Not surprised.

When my wife worked monitoring the growth and weight of children in rural Guatemala I did meet these "type" of people. I just couldn't tell you what their names were, not that it would make any difference if I could.

Bil Gated did not develop anything in Microsoft Office. He employed the people who created it. And for some reason the lucky marketer became rich instead of the genius minds who brought you DOS, Word and Excel. None with the last name Gates.

Enough hero worship. The man is a narcissist prick with a God complex.

Because they're mocking us, and the sly visage of Gates at the head of the program, telling us minions what dross will be made mandatory for 'excess children' is like a literal back-hand slap to the face of the innocence of youth.

Forgot to mention: #ing bastards. I hope the next back-handed slap to the face is from the righteous right hand of the LORD almighty. They know it's rumoured to be coming, they're just seeing how much they can get away with (not only money, but also their own precious expression of sadism against innocents) before the hammer comes down.

Come to think of it didn’t papillon eat roaches from under the floor boards Before he escaped from prison? Not sure which type of people your referencing, but I am curious, did it help the Tin lids put on weight?

Could just order Pizza Hut and leave in the service dock of a supermarket for 10 minutes. Ta-da! Roach and cheese pizza, Luke warm and still wriggling!

People who are malnourished?

Didn't you notice the "poor kids" mentioned in the OP?

So do you agree with Bill--that poor kids should eat maggot sausage?

If it's leaner than pork, and has less salt and sodium, then it's probably better for them.

Given the state of factory farming, eating bugs is probably healthier than eating a lot of the cheap or processed foods that you find in American stores and restaurants.

A lot of American meat can't be exported to places like Europe because of all of the chemicals, preservatives and additives that are used, and because of the poor hygiene standards. Only last year the big food retailers in England declared that American chickens didn't meet the basic standards for sale and that none of them would import it. Even the budget retailers agreed that the health implications didn't justify the low prices.

Who says the choices are either pork or bug paste?
And, without any expertise in the matter, why would underfed kids need lean meat?

wouldn't maggot sausage be considered processed? anything not WHOLE is literally processed. And they WILL be adding preservatives to it, you can bet on that. They will push it as "healthy" but the real reason is because it's cheap AF to produce and process. They will just mask the texture and flavor with GMO soy and other GMO special ingredients.

I hate to say it, but optics aside it might not be the worst thing he's done

There's a real problem with starvation and malnourishment and over population makes it even worse

When the bugs are done right they are nutritious and pose almost no risk to eat

Ever have chocolate covered ants, crickets or scorpion candies before? There actually good

It's just a mindset, we are not used to it, but other cultures have been doing it since forever.

He's working on ensuring ample nutrition for the world's population. Get your heads out of your backsides.

People moaning about eating crickets and worms, while choosing to selectively disregard some of the things we eat in our every day lives which we've decided are "normal".

Honestly the things some of you people express fake outrage at on ATS is stunning.

The guy could just go live on a private island and enjoy his wealth, but dedicates the majority of his time to trying to fix the world's issues. Yet you think he's part of some Q style conspiracy at every turn.

Do your research, boomers.
