If only Bill Gates took his smarmy self to a private island and left us alone.

Why? Is he coming over to your house and bugging you?

I find that difficult to believe, but I guess it could be true.

In a sense, he's bugging us all and keeping track of what people are saying about him:
www.dailymail.co.uk...

But, lucky for us, according to the article, he plans to get educated on his opposition this year, in order to make it go away. I will continue to share my opinion despite the risk.

He isn't bugging me, or anyone I know, at all.

His opinion on things holds no more weight on my life than yours and there certainly isn't any reason to stifle either.

Someone doesn't remember windows 2000... Hell, Windows 10 sucks too.

Unless you are forced to use an MS product, I wouldn't consider choosing to use a product from bill's company him bugging you. It's your choice.

I suppose we ought to bow to your superior knowledge then?

Bug paste is the only plausable option you and Bill Gates can imagine, doesn't sound logical to me.

Oh boy, you know Bill Gates has bought a helluva lot of farmland right..what do you suppose is going to happen here, with the land you grow food on..grow bugs??

Further more, you think Post and General food..etc, who have wayyyyyy more money that Bill, are going to roll over, and their shareholders too, c'mon man!!!!!

Android is as linux variant and it is owned by Google, not MS.

Then there is this PinePhone.

Thats actually quite interesting. It seems like a developer tool rather than an end user device though. Still interesting. Thanks for the link.

Certainly not available in local shops. I wonder what kind of service you really get.

Really, the answer to your question is the whole point of this thread.

What will Bill do with all that farmland? If the (first) link in the OP is any indication, nothing good.

You can also install linux on an android phone, but probably not for the average smartphone user.

To keep it on topic: The idea that Gates is on the verge of having full control of the lives of individuals on a global scale is tabloid level hype.

I have heard some of the plans, sounded like proper sustainable farming, getting away from chemical farming, which leaves the soil barren, having destroyed the soil web. That was my take on it, we can agree to disagree though

You should, if you can, pick up a book called Teaming With Microbes. It's great book we bought over a decade ago, good info, for natural gardening/farming. What should be going on beneath the soil, is just as, if not more critical, to what goes on on top. This book lays it out.

I've done that with various devices. With constant updates though, you can easily compromise your device...

On topic, I feel Gates sees something on the horizon. Food and water is rural Americas ace in the hole. His acquisition is very suspect.

Ok, your opinion is duly noted.

Gates has clawed to the top of the tech, vaccine, now farm and food industry, the media's darling and our advisor regarding how and when we're allowed "a return to normalcy", is funding new theories in education too, net worth of over one hundred billion and a clear vision for how the future should look!
Wonder what's next on the list?

Hey thanks for this good info! I'll look into it--for sure working on the soil here is another top priority.

His acquisition is very suspect.

It is also very small.

In a previous post I pointed out that he currently owns less than .03% of american farmland, not 3% but .03%.

If the farmland of the US was represented by $10,000, he'd be holding 3 bucks.

Given the tone of the thread, I'd say you fear what is next on his list.

The fact is that despite all his accomplishments, he isn't able to just snap his fingers and have his vision of how the future should look implemented. Unless he finds a way to live forever, he will be dead before it gets to that point.

I feel thats a bit of a downplay. You can spit numbers, but that doesn't negate the fact that he's the largest farmland owner in America. Saying .03 sounds small, but how much farmland does my family hold? Maybe .0000001 percent? It's a lot of land for Billy boy.

He certainly doesn't have a say in what is done with 99.97% of the farmland, so how much power does being the "largest" actually convey?
