Good example of not doing it for me. I was never one to get so drunk as to not remember even though I shouldn't be here now from my youthful exploits. But, I know some folks who got drunk and didn't know squat they had done. The cloud we use has a primary server at one location and a backup of the entire disc is made every night and sent zipped up in tight packets electronically to a server off site that has bailed us out before. It is common sense to store things with multiple locations having copies in case of a fire or a bomb outside the location of AT&T Nashville. The data in France was lost only if they allowed it to be lost. I wonder if they even have a good SOP on data storage as the standard business model being used now stresses?

Well, they would only lose data from last time they did connect and these things are automated to push it literally the millisecond the port opens by constantly testing the port to see if it is open. Plus there are protocols for saving data that would not allow that to be ignored since it is too important to ignore for one minute. I have some software that I set up to automate that way for data storage of real time data and all the sites open as soon as the ping occurs and it is over in a blink if it is small packets. The big servers would need some time of course.
